Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengembangkan e-learning memperbaiki alat reproduksi sinyal audio video CD (2) mengetahui kelayakan e-learning yang dihasilkan sebagai sumber belajar siswa, dan (3) mengungkap keefektifan e-learning terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa kelas XI teknik elektronika SMK Negeri 5 Banjarmasin yang melaksanakan Prakerin.Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) e-learning yang dikembangkan dengan LMS Moodle melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu : perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan. In 2011, a pilot of the Australasian Survey of Student Engagement (AUSSE) was conducted with Private Training Establishments (PTEs) in New Zealand where funding was provided for the project by Ako Aotearoa and support also given by New Zealand Association of Private Education Providers (NZAPEP). This report focuses on the results from this pilot. Close to 1,000 responses were collected from students as part of the pilot at ten PTEs and included students undertaking qualifications from New Zealand Qualifications Authority levels three through seven – certificate level to bachelor degree level study. The On Track project was initiated in 2003. Since the first large-scale survey in that year, around 385,000 school leavers have participated in the On Track surveys, providing valuable insights into their post-school destinations and pathways. The On Track survey was conducted in April–May 2012 by the Social Research Centre (SRC) in collaboration with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). This involved a short telephone survey of school leavers who had earlier agreed to participate. Separate questionnaires were used for Year 12 or equivalent completers and early school leavers. In this study, researchers found that veterans with college training were more likely to become employed when they also received job search assistance and job placement assistance, as well as that veterans without such training increased their probability of employment after receiving diagnoses and treatment of impairments, VR counseling, job placement assistance, rehabilitation technology, and other supports. In practice, the results of this study provide important information for rehabilitation counselors, vocational counselors, and other practitioners working with veterans with disabilities. In policy, policymakers should work to support and expand state VR programs to reach a wider population of veterans. Suggestions …

A committed workforce is critical to the success of any organization. While there was a great deal of debate on how to best describe commitment, one model that attracted a significant following is the Three Component Model (TCM) developed by Meyer and Allen (1988). While it may be argued that the model is a mixed model combining attitudinal and behavioral measures, researchers have largely agreed that the scale that measures affective commitment is both valid and reliable. The On Track Survey 2011: The Destinations Of School Leavers In Victoria. Statewide Report, Sheldon Rothman, Catherine Underwood

Vocational, adult and professional education research

The On Track project was initiated in 2003. Since the first large-scale survey in that year, around 350,000 school leavers have participated in the On Track surveys, providing valuable insights into their post-school destinations and pathways. This 2011 report is based on data from telephone surveys of 35,002 Year 12 or equivalent completers and 3768 early leavers from the 2010 school year. The information was collected in April and May 2011. The report focuses on analyses at the state and regional levels.

Research Brief: "The Transferability Of Military-Provided Occupational Training In The Post-Draft Era", Institute For Veterans And Military Families At Syracuse University

Institute for Veterans and Military Families

This study found that the transfer of skills gained through military training was not statistically different from skills related to most forms of non-military training. In practice, for the transitioning service-member, this research highlights the importance of seeking and cultivating opportunities to leverage knowledge, skills, and abilities developed as a result of military training and experience. In policy, individuals developing military training programs should purposefully focus on curriculum development in a way that makes the linkages between learned skills and the civilian labor market clear and explicit. The purpose of this study was to reexamine the Goldberg Paradigm and the Gender Role Congruity Theory in the academic setting. The present study was interested in examining the attitudes of both male and female evaluators in the college setting. The presented study also predicted that the self-evaluations of the participants would vary due to the application they evaluated. The study manipulated gender and major (math, business, English literature, and art) as independent variables in the mock applications. Data was collected from undergraduate students. After reading the mock applications, participants would complete a survey.

This study was created to determine if intercultural professional development influences intercultural competence scores among higher education staff through the use of the Intercultural Developmental Inventory (IDI) and Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS). The participants in the study included a small group of higher education staff working in the Office of Student Affairs at a small urban college in the central Midwest. The structure of the study included pre-testing using the IDI, 6 hours of professional development, personalized feedback and IDI post-testing. The purpose of this study was to determine if a unique set of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) were required of Human Resource Practitioners (HRPs) in federal-level Government Contracting Companies (GCC) in the United States. Study results identified additional sets of HR-related KSAs to perform with minimum competency within a government-contracting environment. The results of this study can assist in creation and development of training or education curriculum for HRPs interested in or currently working in GCCs. Study results provided parameters for job descriptions for HRP recruitment within GCCs and HRP promotional opportunities.
