Migration is a complex social phenomenon whose causes, motivations and consequences are diverse. The economist, therefore, cannot presume the monopoly of its explanation. He, like specialists of other disciplines, emphasizes the variables of his concern. Problem
While an active and costly inservice program exists for teachers of the Lake Union Conference, there appears to be no data on the perceived inservice needs of these teachers. Consequently, there is a need to identify their perceived inservice educational needs for purpose of enhancement and strengthening the existing program. The present study attempts to identify the perceived inservice needs of the K-12 teachers of the Lake Union Conference currently employed within its educational system.

This study was made to gain information pertinent to assessing the effectiveness of the Association of Washington School Principals in meeting the needs of its members who are elementary school principals. The study indicated that a majority of the respondents felt that Association was doing an adequate job. However, a significant relationship was found to exist between principals from small districts and the feeling of inadequate representation.
Due to the newness of this Association, it is recommended that a similar study be done in the future.

During the past few years a limited number of studies have been completed related to health misconceptions. Some have investigated health and safety misconceptions, while others have reported various testing procedures. Studies involving all populations {general public, elementary, secondary, and college students) have pointed out existing inadequacies in health knowledge and the prevalence of health misconceptions. As a result, the writer felt the need to investigate and measure the prevalence of health misconceptions among teachers.

During the decades of the 1820's and 1830's, educators in this country studied the European schools where the principles of Johann H. Pestalozzi (1746-1827), Friedrick Froebel (1782-1852), and Emanuel Fellenberg (1771-1844) had been put into practice with favorable results. The Prussian normal schools established by Frederick the Great were some of the best in the world. American educators came back with glowing reports of the progress Europeans were making in this direction. This study used the II:PPS and the AVLSV to test seven hypotheses. These hypotheses asked if there was significant difference at the .05 level as measured by the "t" test between experienced teachers of special education and incoming prospective teachers of special education, of experienced teachers of special education and graduating prospective teachers of special education, and of experienced teachers of special education and the college normal samples as published by the test manual.
