The sample of this investigation was based on 30 graduated students as a universe and a sample of 15 which represent the 50% in which 9 of them were female who represent the 60% and 6 male who represent the 40% from Impact Languages Institute. The research used random sampling process to lead this investigation. This paper addresses the importance of using a play-based learning (PBL) approach when teaching mathematics in elementary schools, reinforcing its benefits such as the acquisition and development of concepts, the enhancement of students’ problem-solving skills, and the increase of students’ motivation to learn (Russo, Bragg and Russo, 2020). It explores one of the main causes for math learning difficulties in early learning and explores a possible solution using a play-based approach. This article examines how an unbalance scale task prompted seven preservice teachers (PSTs) to confront and revise their assumptions about student thinking. Tasked with predicting how early elementary students (K-2) might make an unbalanced scale equal, teacher candidates largely anticipated additive or subtractive solutions and less frequently redistributive solutions. However, several students proposed creative strategies including one who removed all the cubes creating an equal 0 = 0 scenario. This moment sparked deep reflection and a broader reconsideration of what it means to anticipate diverse students reasoning. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore Massachusetts public middle school teachers’ perceptions of school-based professional development (PD) for implementing Response to Intervention (RtI). This study examined how teachers experienced PD in relation to RtI implementation, including its relevance, structure, and ongoing support. The research was grounded in Knowles’ (1984) adult learning theory, which emphasizes the importance of learner-centered, problem-based, and immediately applicable professional learning for adults. The ACER Progressive Achievement approach includes PAT assessments that measure what students know, understand, and can do across the domains of Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary, Grammar and Punctuation, Maths, Science, Inquiry and Problem Solving in STEM Contexts, and Critical Reasoning. The results of PAT assessments are available immediately to schools. This helps schools diagnose student needs and implement teaching and learning strategies in a timely manner. If PAT assessments are used at recommended intervals, schools can also see student learning growth over time. Understanding how preservice teachers (PSTs) engage with knowledge of educational sciences through reflective practice is critical to improving teacher education. This study investigates how PSTs construct knowledge when analyzing a complex classroom situation and explores how a reflective task format—individual essay writing or collaborative group discussion—shapes the types and quality of knowledge construction processes involved. Drawing on frameworks of reflective practice and epistemic cognition, we developed a coding scheme to identify five knowledge construction processes and three levels of implementation quality. The method used is the ADDIE model research and development. The module's feasibility is obtained from the results of expert validation, assessment of attractiveness and practicality from users. The results obtained from language experts were 88.70%, material experts were 92.00%, and design experts were 85%.
