Realizing that the parents play an important role in the counseling program, the primary purpose of this study was to prove that parents and students feel the counseling program provides an opportunity for parents to understand the abilities and needs of their youngsters and to share in their educational planning. It is contended that no matter what limitations the student may have, it is possible through parent-counselor conferences to better understand his needs. Then the home and school can work together in establishing a more satisfying environment.

Specifically, the purposes of this study are to: l. Identify the legal responsibilities of the junior high school principal. 2. Establish criteria for justifying the release of a principal from classroom teaching and the employment of administrative and clerical assistance. 3. Determine the ratio of administrators to the number of pupils enrolled in the three year junior high schools of the State of Washington with enrollments between 500 and 1,000. 4. Make necessary recommendations regarding the administrative staffing of Washington's junior high schools.

This study was conducted for the primary purpose of discovering the relationship of two personal variables to effective seminary teaching.
It was hypothesized that:
(1) There is no significant difference between seminary teachers whom the department considers as very effective (high-rated) and seminary teachers whose teaching effectiveness is questioned by the department (low-rated) in their ability to empathize with the self concept of their students.
(2) there is no significant difference between seminary teachers who are high-rated and seminary teachers who are low-rated in their ability to sociempathise (perceive student's social status among peers).

This study records the way two classes of freshmen at Granger High School were taught English composition. The method used may be termed a laboratory one since the writing of composition was done in a laboratory situation. It was the purpose of the present study to evaluate the block of time as it is used in Yakima junior high schools. This study had a twofold intent: first to review the literature on the block of time as related to core philosophy, and second to present the results of a study of the activities of Yakima junior high school teachers in the block of time and its related core techniques as well as the results of a study of attitudes toward the block of time as it appears in the Yakima junior high schools.
