The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe behavior reduction strategy efficacy for special education personnel in southeastern Philadelphia. The theory guiding this study was Bandura’s theory on self-efficacy, as it explains the relationship between self-efficacy and special education personnel's influences on utilizing behavior reduction strategies. A hermeneutical phenomenology approach guided the examination of this study, as it focused on the experiences of individuals and groups while exploring the description of their personal stories. The purpose of this quantitative, correlational study was to examine if the English instructional setting and special education disability predict the reading achievement of middle school students with disabilities. The findings of this study are useful in determining the effectiveness of inclusion in the English general education classroom for students with specific learning disability (SLD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and speech and language impairment (SLI). The 116 participants of this study are middle school students enrolled in a public middle school in Georgia. At this stage in the research, non-cognitive difficulties in the academic environment will be generally defined as academic difficulties not related to academic ability. This phenomenological study aimed to examine and describe the experiences of veteran special education (SPED) teachers in rural southwest Georgia school districts regarding their collaborative community network experiences within the field. Granovetter’s (1973) social network theory (SNT) encompasses critical concepts of belongingness and connection about job satisfaction over time and throughout educational contexts and guided this study. A phenomenological approach involving teacher interviews, a focus group, and journal prompts was used to examine the experiences of SPED teachers on their social networks. The purpose of this quantitative predictive correlation study was to examine the relationship between teacher self-efficacy factors in literacy and teacher preparedness in teaching morphology in elementary classrooms. Results from this study have the potential of determining needed instructional changes at both the teacher training and elementary school levels. One hundred fifteen respondants came from elementary teachers in three school districts across the Tennessee Valley, although only 69 participants completed the survey in its entirety. Over the course of a decade, schools have experienced an increase in inappropriate student behaviors and suspensions with a decrease in teacher retention. Students are demonstrating intensive externalizing and internalizing behaviors that are producing a negative effect on their success in the classroom, with low teacher efficacy in knowing how to properly address those behaviors and concerns. The purpose of this qualitative, transcendental phenomenological study was to understand the perceptions of alternative education teachers in utilizing a restorative approach to managing student behaviors at a small, rural school district in north Florida.
