This book is to learn water and weather by integrating with other cultures. This textbook is organized around two interconnected components. The first component provides cultural knowledge of China, India, Korea, and Mexico. The second component focuses on culturally responsive science instruction created for the Cultural Science Night event, an occasion in which teachers present hands-on, culturally responsive science activities in collaboration with students.

As part of that, we will discuss research on Vietnamese school children’s mental health and academic needs, the history of the development of school counselling and related professions in Vietnam, and the process of creating formal educational programs in school counselling. "This chapter analyzes the prevalence of global university rankings within this context of the intensification of global competition in higher education and the associated call for developing world-class universities in Asia. Focusing on the cases of Western Anglophone countries, the literature considers neoliberal ideology and its pro-market practices as important forces driving internationalization of-higher education (e.g., Hazelkorn, 2008). According to this neoliberalization thesis, elite universities are differentiated and assigned to establish and maintain a country's status as a global higher education power, while mass universities are responsible for commercial provision of higher education, thereby enlarging the country's share in the …

The book includes chapters that provide: 1) conceptions and frameworks of GCE in Asian societies; 2) analyses of contexts, policies, and curricula that influence GCE reform efforts in Asia; and 3) studies of students’ and teachers’ experiences of GCE in schools in different Asian contexts. It is my great honor and pleasure to call Dr. Julius Amin both a friend and colleague, and to introduce him to you this evening. I’m thrilled we have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Amin this evening about a critical global issue. I had the good fortune to travel with Julius to Cameroon about five years ago, and I learned so much from him. We appreciate his willingness to share his expertise and personal experiences about the current conflict and anglophone crisis in Cameroon.
