The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a six-week day camping experience on a group of boy and girl campers. Specifically, this investigation was concerned with the degree of social-personal adjustment and physical fitness changes that might occur in a selected group of boys and girls as a result of a specific day-camping experience.

The design of this study was experimental, involving the nonrandomized pretest, posttest control group.

The accuracy of professional baseball players' lower arms to different kinesthetic locations was the concern of this study. An attempt was made to determine how accurately professional baseball players could reproduce an elbow-joint angle without the aid of visual or haptic knowledge, and to compare this accuracy to their fielding averages, positions played, and team won-lost averages. Forty-one players representing four teams in the Texas League volunteered for the study. The purpose of this study was to develop an Instructional 16 mm color film on Greco-Roman wrestling moves, counters, and drills which would benefit those on all levels interested in the use of upperbody wrestling techniques. To achieve this objective it was necessary to determine the moves, counters and drills which are most successfully used in Greco-Roman wrestling. This was accomplished by means of a questionnaire and by personal interviews with nationally and internationally known coaches and competitors. Statement of Problem: Many students are excluded from parti­cipation in school athletic programs, and thus, from an oppor­tunity to benefit from the educational experiences afforded. While playing ability would appear to be the most logical and common-sense criterion for the exclusion of certain stu­dents, a variety of psycho-social factors may also serve as important criteria upon which the exclusion and inclusion of athletes are based. To obtain information concerning the existence of such factors, an investigation was undertaken concerning player-coach compatibility and its role in cutting students from athletic squads.

It was the purpose of this study to determine if skin-fold measure constitute an effective method of estimating the changes in total body fat content which accompanied an exercise program. Body density and skinfold thickness were measured on fifty-nine white college males before and after a twelve week exercise program of circuit training and jogging. Significant decreases were found in percent of total body fat, kilograms of fat and gross body weight. Kilograms of fat free weight showed a significant increase. Skinfold measures yielded high pre- and post-test correlations with body density, .709 and .847 respectively. The correlation between change …
