The aim of research was to describe the effect of the application of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) integrated the Nature of Science (NOS) on student scientific literacy. The implementation design used was nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design with research subjects using two classes namely VII C (control class) and VII D (experimental class) of SMP Laboratorium UM. Data was collected using a scientific literacy test and then analyzed descriptively and statistically and the results are that the application IBL integrated NOS influences students' scientific literacy with level of scientific literacy of students is included in the nominal and functional categories.

This study addresses senior high school students’ reading comprehension on expository texts and its relation with the group sizes assigned to the students. It involves 133 eleventh grade students of SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively. The findings show that CSR affect the students’ reading comprehension significantly. Yet, it fails to reveal the effect of group sizes arrangement on the strategies applied towards the students reading comprehension. Consequently, the use of CSR in reading class can not be related to the group sizes assigned to the students.

The purpose of this study is to analyze students' critical thinking especially on static fluid material through STEM PjBL accompanied by authentic assessment. The research design used mixed methods type embedded experimental design and the sample used in the study amounted to 32 students. Through the results of the analysis note that the learning process used is moderately influential on increasing students' critical thinking skills. In general, students experience an increase in all indicators of critical thinking.

This research aims to produce interactive multimedia based on local culture that is feasible in terms of validity, practicality, attractiveness, and effectivity. The development model used was the Lee & Owens model, consists of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The validator stated that interactive multimedia was very valid with a score of 92.9%. Field test results showed that practicality of the product reached 94.5%, and level of attractiveness reached 95.9%. The Effect Of Collaborative Strategic Reading (Csr) On Muhammadiyah University Students’ Reading Comprehension And Their Perceptions, Nur Lailatul Fithriyah, Ahmad Munjin Nasih, Nunung Suryati

Reading is a language modality in which the sense of urgency is palpable despite the task difficulty. This study examined the hypotheses that CSR improves reading comprehension and fosters positive perceptions of the implementations. The result supported that using CSR produced levels of reading comprehension superior to conventional teaching instruction. The analysis of posttest among the groups revealed 5.56 greater effects for students in the experimental group. The t-test also reported that students had favorable impressions about CSR implementation. They recognized some reading strategies of CSR which assisted them at most in elevating comprehension.

This study aims to determine the effect of school fees, age and gender on children’s education level in Indonesia. Variables in school fees are school fees, equipment and transportation. The age variable is the sample that is aged 15 to 25 years. Gender variables consist of male and female. This study uses secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey 5 (IFLS 5). The sample in this study were 2,601 respondents. It employs regression analysis and quantitative approach. It proves that there is a significant effect between school fees, age and gender on children's education levels.

The research is a quasi experiment that aims to determine the problem solving ability of students who learn with Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and conventional. PjBL can increase problem solving abilities of students. Data analysis was obtained from students' pretest and post test results using SPSS. Based on the analysis of one path anova obtained F-count 168.86 with P-value (0.000 <0.05) which means there is a very significant difference of problem-solving ability between experiment class and control class. The average score of experimental class problem-solving abilities is higher than the control class. Students are still having difficulties at the Specific Application of Physics and Logical Progression.

This study aims to describe mastery of high school students concept on static fluid material. The method used is descriptive analysis. Data were taken from 69 students of MAN 1 Tulungagung 12th grade. The instrument consists of nine items of multiple choice test with reason. The result of the analysis shows that the students' mastery of concept on static fluid material is good with average value of 63.45. Students have some difficulty especially at the hydrostatic pressure of a system that has different room. Almost students are difficult when comparing the bouyant force an object under different conditions.

This study aims to find out the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding toward high-order thinking skills in terms of students' high and low ability. This research used non equivalent control group design with 34 students of experimental class and 35 students of control class. The hypothesis test of this study used Two-Way ANOVA and showed that the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding was 42.5%, while the effect of students' initial ability was 37.9%. The mean posttest grade of the experimental class is higher than the control class, indicating that PBL with procedural scaffolding affects students' high-order thinking skill.

The indicators of mathematical communication that used in this research are adapted from the NCTM indicator then combined to the four Polya's steps. This study aims to describe the process of creative thinking of high-spatial ability students in solving open ended problems based on the stages of Wallas. The results of this study include (1) preparation stage, subject reading questions and looking for information of problems, (2) incubation stage, subject had time to pause and then draw cubes, (3) illumination stage, subject designs the solution for both ofproblems using Pythagorean theorem and circumference of region of cube, and (4) verification stage, student apply the idea and found that subject produce one solution for first problem and produce two solution for second solution.

Problem-solving skills are important for students to cope with rapid changes in society and supported by technological advances. Problem-solving skills that students have especially in Newton's Law materials need to be improved so that it becomes like an expert problem solver. Therefore, SSCS problem solving research with CPS is done to determine its effect on problem solving skills. This research uses one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the learning model has an influence on problem-solving skills with strong effectiveness, but the improvement of problem solving skills is still low.

This research method is quasi experimental with pretest-posttest 2x2 factorial design type.
