Are you a K-12 Adventist school principal or would like to be one? If you find yourself constantly thinking of and creating ways to sustain a positive learning environment at your school you are not alone. Many studies suggest that the struggle to maintain a positive culture in schools is directly tied to principals’ leadership characteristics (Beaudion and Taylor, 2004; Peterson and Deal, 2002). Larry Blackmer is the North American Division Vice President for Education. He has served as a teacher, principal, and boys’ dean at the K-12 level throughout the United States.
