K-12 public education in Mississippi has sparked much conversation and debate regarding the factors and forces that influence school performance on test scores, teacher pay and salaries, infrastructure, and student performance. The purpose of this study is to examine the disparities between the Meridian Public School District and Lauderdale County School District in Meridian. This dissertation examined the experiences of 10 families of students in PK-12 private schools leveraging financial assistance (FA) to afford tuition and seven school FA staff who worked with families. Current literature is prominent in higher education but scant in the PK-12 milieu. Moreover, qualitative studies examining student experience in higher education have only recently begun unfolding. Drawing from a qualitative phenomenological study with an interpretivist, critical approach, this study discloses school belonging and marginalization sentiments vis a vis the power of school practices and policies to shape student and family experience. Many of the current alternatives offered to students remove them from the high school setting or interactions with the student body. This study focused on an alternative pathway to graduation, Students Willing and Ready to Motivate to Graduate (SWARM), offered at the high school during the regular school day to students in jeopardy of not graduating. It provides an overview of the background information on these organizations, their operations, and the issues surrounding protection and risk mitigation. Research Aims: This study aims to investigate and explore how the hedonic personality that exists in each individual can influence avoidance behaviour towards advertisements on social media platforms.

Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique was employed to collect data from 198 respondents who have shopped or at least searched for products on social media. The data were then analysed using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique.

Research Findings: The results showed that hedonic personality affected advertising avoidance behaviour. Through multigroup analysis, this research found differences in how men and women respond to an advertisement. On the other …

Native American communities across the United States have perennially struggled with disparities in government funding, resulting in a wide variety of socio-economic issues. Although ongoing efforts are in place to rectify these disparities there persists substantial gaps in funding allocation. Historical, socioeconomic, and institutional factors have contributed to these inequities, perpetuating a cycle of poverty and marginalization. Despite this, promising examples of successful funding models and large-scale initiatives provide valuable insights and hope for the future. Many developing and undeveloped countries, grappling with issues such as hyperinflation, corruption, high unemployment rates, poverty, and financial instability, often view dollarization as a potential solution. Dollarization involves adopting the US currency as the official or parallel currency, a strategy observed in countries like El Salvador, Ecuador, and Zimbabwe. The purpose of this research is to compare the impact of dollarization on real gross domestic product (RGDP) to that of countries that did not adopt dollarization. With over 63% of its students living in poverty, the state of Arkansas has a challenge when it comes to equitable funding and opportunities for its students. One funding mechanism that has been in place in Arkansas for over 20 years now is a categorical funding allocation known as Enhanced Student Achievement Funds (ESA). School districts receive these funds based on their percentage of students in poverty. Families are the ultimate recipients of the effects of policy, but seldom get a seat at the policymaking table. This study investigated how parents perceive the impacts of unequal teacher compensation policies on New York City’s (NYC) Universal Pre-K (UPK) expansion. Utilizing Bronfenbrenner's (1979) ecological systems theory and Schneider and Ingram’s (1993) theory of social construction and policy design to create a rich conceptual framework, this qualitative study analyzed parents' voices through document and social media discourse analysis expanding from 2014 to 2021, and semi-structured interviews (n=15). This study uses the 2010, 2017, and 2018 data of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System to estimate which institutional factors increase the probability that a private, nonprofit, higher education institution will face financial stress. The study first estimates enrollment and net tuition with a reduced form market model. Those estimates, endowment dollars, and college rankings are used to identify institutions that are financially stressed. Our assessment indicates that approximately 11.5 percent of the sample institutions are stressed, suggesting that the earlier predictions of a 25-50 percent reduction are overestimated, at least for private-nonprofit institutions. This study uncovers the perspective on the entrepreneurship education of senior high school students on the university campus. This paper is employed a descriptive research design using a survey ques-tionnaire for the respondents. The survey found that respondents are willing to engage in business be-tween one to 10 years after college. The willingness is due to the encouragement from their parents, independent decision-making, building self-confidence and knowledge, and chasing their dreams. The mountain communities of Karakorum and the Himalayas in Pakistan are frequently experiencing climate change-induced natural disasters, which are inflicting irreparable losses to their generation's old value system and socio-economic life. Focusing on the value system, this small-scale study explored the change in values and perceptions of a disaster-affected mountain community about natural hazards and its implications for their future lives. Twenty participants from the affected community, including local political activists, religious leaders, teachers, and youth activists, were thoroughly interviewed. Selvityksen taustalla on hallitusohjelman kirjaukset näiden selvittämisestä ja hallituksen esitys, joka muuttaa EU- ja ETA-maiden ulkopuolisten opiskelijoiden lukuvuosimaksut kustannukset kattaviksi syksyllä 2026.

Suomen nykyiset apurahajärjestelmät ovat korkeakoulukohtaisia ja vaikeaselkoisia ulkomaalaisen opiskelijan näkökulmasta. Esitämme, että apurahoja koskevien tietojen tulisi olla nähtävissä sähköisesti ja ajantasaisesti yhdestä paikasta koulutusohjelmasta riippumatta. Tieto mahdollisesta apurahasta tulisi näkyviin opiskelijalle opiskelijavalinnan pisteytyksen rinnalle jokaista hakukohdetta koskien.
