The Thai government has passed a number of laws which aim to protect its citizens from discrimination and from breaches of their human rights by government departments and agencies. The University of Arkansas was founded in 1871 on the top of a hill overlooking the Ozark Mountains, resulting in a campus that has steep slopes and numerous historical buildings that were not designed with ADA regulations in mind. This makes getting around campus especially difficult for students with limited mobility, and no campus maps exist that include handicapped accessibility features to help navigate the terrain and limited parking options. This study examines this issue using a holistic approach that explores cultural and technological factors to produce a map of the Historic Core District of campus.

The purpose of this project was to develop a model curriculum for selected physical education adaptations for student with special needs, in alignment with Washington Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALR's). To accomplish this purpose, a review of selected literature was conducted. Additionally, related information from selected sources was obtained and analyzed. The model curriculum was developed for implementation in the Ellensburg School District in the 2002-2003 school year.

This paper will attempt to provide a handbook of physical education activities suitable for asthmatic children and rheumatic heart pupils in a first or second grade public school environment where the ratio of such handicapped is a definite minority. Personal efforts in the past to structure a physical education program to include children suffering from rheumatic heart disease or asthma have not always been satisfactory for both the "normal" and the handicapped child.
