The present study introduces the extent to which teachers of Arabic language in the state of Kuwait acquire competence in electronic learning, from their own point of view. It also aims to identify, with statistical reference, any differences in views of teachers of both genders, regarding gender, academic degree, and years of teaching experience. In order to achieve the goals of the study, a questionnaire (which included 24 questions divided on three scales) was used. This paper aimed to identify science teachers' assessment practices according to their perceptions through identifying the assessment goals, activities, criteria, and the nature of assessment reports (types and data). It used the descriptive method; the population was all science teacher in Alzelfy educational administration in Saudi Arabia (106 teachers); however, the response rate was (38%) of the population. A questionnaire with four dimensions was developed; these dimensions are: the goals (two items), activities (20 items), criteria (six items), and the nature of reports (11 items). In this article, I share two lessons learned through engagement in practitioner inquiry. The purpose of my inquiry was to understand self-regulated learning as it developed in students receiving intensive instructional supports within a newly designed 21^st century learning space. I illustrate each lesson with salient excerpts from three types of data: field notes, student artifacts, and my own daily journal entries. Addressing the underrepresentation of women in science is a top priority for many institutions, but the majority of efforts to increase representation of women are neither evidence-based nor rigorously assessed. One exception is the gender bias habit-breaking intervention (Carnes et al., 2015), which, in a cluster-randomized trial involving all but two departmental clusters (N = 92) in the 6 STEMM focused schools/colleges at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, led to increases in gender bias awareness and self-efficacy to promote gender equity in academic science departments. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate and understand gender diverse individuals’ retrospective accounts of their experiences of school and to interpret these experiences under the influence of deconstruction. A second purpose is to use these experiences to inform a model of gender-inclusive education.

In this qualitative study, semi-structured interviewing served as the primary method of inquiry. Eight gender non-binary adult participants were purposefully selected and individually interviewed.
