The purpose of this study was to evaluate the adult education technology program at a chartered alternative adult education center in Florida. The adult education center had a low rate of students passing the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). This study examined the impact of the use of computer technology in an effort to improve student learning in mathematics, reading, and science. School bullying has often been tacitly minimalized as a rite of passage—an unfortunate but common experience among children. In the past few years there has been an increasing awareness of school bullying as a catalyst of school violence. Parents, school boards, and administrators are understanding and taking more seriously the negative impact that bullying has on victimized students and are actively looking for ways to reduce incidents of such violence. This article investigates the incidence of technicist-managerialism in two MBA programmes of Pakistan by inquiring into the values endorsed in them. Findings about values found in the two schools are presented in the form of quotes from interviews and excerpts from official publications of these two business schools. Consequences of such thinking are then discussed in the light of management literature.

The study compared social climate perceptions of allied health educational (AHE) program directors in order to discover the potential for high performance in accredited allied health educational programs. The study sought similarities, differences, and relationships in workplace social climate perceptions of program directors grouped by selected demographic characteristics.

Directors from accredited AHE programs were surveyed using the unmodified Work Environment Scale (WES) instrument. Forty null hypotheses were tested using multiple means comparison and linear regression.

In designing a graduate class at the University of Massachusetts, called "Creativity and the Young Child," we built an experience for adults based on a highly regarded European preschool program based on the visual arts. The program, found in the municipal schools for three- to six- year-olds in the city of Reggio Emilia, Italy, is designed to foster young children's learning, representation, and expression through exploration and mastery of many symbolic media. The problem is to devise for institutions of higher learning a model policy regarding grades and grading practices, specifically with respect to (1) grade appeal procedures, including instructor rights and student rights; (2) methods of determining grades; (3) definitions of grades; (4) responsibility for assigning grades; and (5) cheating regulations insofar as they affect grading policies. A model policy should assist colleges and universities in achieving conformity with recent court decisions and avoiding the many problems associated with litigation. Today a million teachers are entrusted with the task of educating more than 25,000,000 pupils. For twelve years these millions of boys and girls are under the direction of school teachers--certainly no other professional or civic group has an opportunity of like magnitude. If the teaching group should effectively unite upon a comprehensive program its influence on social change would be considerable.
