How To Attract The Library Visitors? The Role Of Csr At The Library, Library Image, Customer Value, And Loyalty To The Library: Evidence From Indonesia, Sri Hartini, Masmira Kurniawati, Jovi Sulistiawan, Muhammad Ihwanudin

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

This study focuses on the impact of CSR on the library’s performance in collaboration with CSR programs. Using the purposive sampling method, the sample was 350 library service users in Indonesia. Data was collected through a Google Form questionnaire distributed on social media. SEM-PLS was used to analyze five hypotheses, which were accepted. This study indicates that CSR in the library is significantly positively related to library image, customer value, and loyalty. In addition, library image and customer value are positively related to library visitor loyalty. Libraries are an essential element of learning on university campuses. The content housed within libraries supports academic exploration and growth. Physically, libraries are designed to provide access to materials and spaces that facilitate learning. This report explored the impact of student library resource use on student persistence to the next term.

Students' library resource use was captured with EZ Proxy log-ins and library material check-outs. Students who had a record of using library resources were compared to similar students who did not have a record of library resource use. This poster describes an outreach exhibit program utilizing a media wall digital signage system in the 24/7 study space at The Center for Science and Social Science Information, Yale University. The mission of the exhibit program is to showcase,using media wall technology, the work of Yale faculty, research, academic units, and outreach programs. The Center is a newly renovated collaborative library, a merge of the Kline Science Library, the Social Science Library, and the StatLab campus computing facility that opened in January 2012.

Predating the major higher education mergers, the Cape Technikon Library Service was faced with the incorporation of the Mowbray College of Education and Boland College of Education libraries in 2000. The actual stock of these two libraries was larger than that of the Technikon, and in addition, an institution that had a monolithic library structure was suddenly faced with coping with a more dispersed structure.
