Subject matter experts (SMEs) are often called on in the modern workplace to train other employees in their area of expertise. SMEs often do not have the training or teaching skills needed to perform this task successfully. As a result, SMEs often fall into training traps. In this project, the author attempted to solve this problem by designing a PowerPoint presentation of strategies SMEs can use. This presentation addressed the areas of greatest importance to SMEs who are in a training role. The areas this presentation addresses are adult learning, the role SMEs play, and training solutions.

This study examines the extent to which the conception and implementation of the public library's educational commitment to adults changed between 1950 and 2006 within the context of the institutional development of the public library and the influences exerted by internal and external forces such as philanthropic organizations, the federal government, the American Library Association, research, the public library planning process, the nontraditional education movement, and changes in public library ideology. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the adult education technology program at a chartered alternative adult education center in Florida. The adult education center had a low rate of students passing the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). This study examined the impact of the use of computer technology in an effort to improve student learning in mathematics, reading, and science. Computers at the institution were used by all students for tutorials to prepare them for the FCAT and to obtain a high school diploma. The research questions for this study were as follows:

Purpose – The reason often cited for the poor relationship between small businesses and their uptake of vocational education and training is that small business owner-managers claim that they are too busy to engage in training or any type of learning activity and that most training is of little value to them. The aim of the research is to examine the relationship between these factors.

Leaders defined spirituality as different from, but related to religion, part of their identity, and as a connection to a Higher Being, to others, and to nature. Spirituality provided a calling to profession, instilled an ethical framework and served as a resource in times of challenge. It influenced use of power, decision making, and communication with coworkers. Participants exhibited a variety of leadership styles reflecting individual perceptions of spirituality.

The project is based on theories behind narrative therapy, its use in the treatment of persons with addiction problems, and how the reframing of students' own life stories through writing can bring about change. The purpose of this qualitative study was to determine what factors motivated the adult learners at a Southern California university complex. Using surveys and interviews, the study also provided insight into the expectations of the students in relation to their careers and personal growth. In addition, analysis of the data uncovered information on how employer reimbursement of education costs affected the students’ motivation, who influenced the students to attend school, and why the students chose this university over others in the area.
