Development Of Special Motor Training Of Young Gymnasts, Khojiakbar Akhtamkulovich Karimov
Eurasian Journal of Sport Science
Purpose: Improving the special motor training of young gymnasts based on the analysis of the results of special motor training of gymnasts at the stage of initial training.
Methods: The article widely uses the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, testing, methods of mathematical statistics and video surveillance based on the improvement of special motor training of young gymnasts.
Results: During the analysis of data on the preparation of young gymnasts for special actions, the complex developed by gymnasts 5-7 years old when developing training for special actions was scientifically substantiated, and its effectiveness was determined …
Instrumental Method For Monitoring Speed-Strength Preparedness In Sports, Olga Viktorovna Goncharova
Instrumental Method For Monitoring Speed-Strength Preparedness In Sports, Olga Viktorovna Goncharova
Eurasian Journal of Sport Science
Purpose: The purpose of the work is to develop a measuring complex for monitoring of athletes’ speed-strength preparedness.
Methods: The following research methods were used in this work: educational literature analysis, pedagogical testing, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results: The necessity of taking into account the nature of the relationship between the level of physical, particular, speed-strength preparedness and dynamometric measuring device indicators. Summing up, we can state the followings: according to the testing and pedagogical observations’ results, a correlation analysis was carried out; a quantitative assessment of the relationship between the level of physical preparedness and …

Eyes Save Lives Water Safety Program For Parents And Caregivers: Program Design And Pilot Evaluation From Southern California, Rachel Love-Smith, William A. Koon, Lauren Tabios, Scott M. Bartell
International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education
Despite expert consensus and evidence-based preventative strategies against drowning, limited formal study exists on translating recommendations into practical and effective interventions. This paper describes the design of an education-based drowning prevention intervention and reports results from a pilot evaluation of the program’s effect on self-reported water-safe behaviors, attitudes, self-efficacy, and knowledge. Parents and caregivers attending children’s swim lessons in July and August 2018 participated in a brief water-safety education program. A pre-post-test design evaluated "Theory of Planned Behavior" indicators to assess for changes. We found significant increases in scores related to water safety knowledge, attitudes on maintaining arms reach distance …
Features Of Improving The Special Strength Training Of Highly Qualified Handball Players In Sports Training, Olga Viktorovna Goncharova, Alisher Odilovich Abdalimov
Features Of Improving The Special Strength Training Of Highly Qualified Handball Players In Sports Training, Olga Viktorovna Goncharova, Alisher Odilovich Abdalimov
Eurasian Journal of Sport Science
Purpose: The paper presents the program of special strength training of highly qualified handball players developed by us. The experimental data obtained in the work confirm the effectiveness of its use in the educational and training process.
Methods: analysis of educational and methodological literature, pedagogical testing, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results: The program of special strength training of highly qualified handball players developed by us, after being introduced into the training process, has shown its effectiveness mainly in the development of speed and strength qualities of athletes, as well as explosive strength and reactive ability of …
Theoretical Analysis Of Motor Activity In Assessing The Mass Sports Movement Of Schoolchildren, Khasan Nematullayevich Utashev
Theoretical Analysis Of Motor Activity In Assessing The Mass Sports Movement Of Schoolchildren, Khasan Nematullayevich Utashev
Eurasian Journal of Sport Science
Purpose: The purpose of the study consists in the theoretical study of the results of their research by studying and analyzing the general state of involvement of school-age students in mass sports events.
Methods: The children’s need for mass sports and the level of their interest in sports were determined by conducting pedagogical and psychological questionnaires. Measures have been developed to develop mass sports movement in schools and proposals have been developed. Also, in the course of the study, the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, questionnaires, mathematical statistics were widely used.
Results: Walking accounted for 60% of …
Characteristics Of Patient Encounters For Athletic Training Students During Clinical Education: A Report From The Aate Research Network, Cailee E. Welch Bacon, Julie M. Cavallario, Stacy E. Walker, R.Curtis Bay, Bonnie L. Van Lunen
Characteristics Of Patient Encounters For Athletic Training Students During Clinical Education: A Report From The Aate Research Network, Cailee E. Welch Bacon, Julie M. Cavallario, Stacy E. Walker, R.Curtis Bay, Bonnie L. Van Lunen
Rehabilitation Sciences Faculty Publications
Context: To enhance the quality of patient care, athletic training students (ATSs) should experience a wide variety of clinical practice settings, interact with diverse patient populations, and engage with patients that have a wide variety of conditions. It is unclear in what ways, if any, ATSs have diverse opportunities during clinical experiences.
Objective: To describe the characteristics of patient encounters (PEs) ATSs engage in during clinical experiences. Design: Multi-site, panel design.
Setting: 12 professional athletic training programs (ATPs; 5 Bachelor, 7 Master's).
Patients or Other Participants: 363 ATSs from the ATPs that used E*Value software to document PEs during clinical …

Core Competency-Related Professional Behaviors During Patient Encounters: A Report From The Association For Athletic Training Education Research Network, Cailee E. Welch Bacon, Julie M. Cavallario, Stacy E. Walker, Curtis Bay, Bonnie L. Van Lunen
Rehabilitation Sciences Faculty Publications
Context: To enhance the quality of patient care, it is important that athletic trainers integrate the components of the core competencies (CCs; evidence-based practice [EBP], patient-centered care [PCC], health information technology [HIT], interprofessional education and collaborative practice [IPECP], quality improvement [QI], professionalism) as a part of routine clinical practice. In what ways, if any, athletic training students (ATSs) are currently integrating CCs into patient encounters (PEs) during clinical experiences is unclear.
Objective: To describe which professional behaviors associated with the CCs were implemented by ATSs during PEs that occurred during clinical experiences.
Design: Multisite panel design.
Setting: A total of …

The Athletic Training Milestones were developed as a comprehensive framework to assess athletic trainers' knowledge, skill, and behavior acquisition across the continuum of athletic training practice. However, without established content validity, it is unclear whether the Athletic Training Milestones can be used effectively as a clinical evaluation and research tool to evaluate competence and performance across multiple users and sites. We conducted a highly conservative content validity index (CVI) with data from 12 content experts. Our findings revealed an extremely high overall scale CVI of 0.99, and CVI scores of the 28 individual subcompetency items assessed ranged from 0.83 to …

Meeting The 24-Hour Movement Guidelines And Outcomes In Adolescents With Adhd: A Cross-Sectional Observational Study, Wei Wang, Justin A. Haegele, Yandan Wu, Chunxiao Li
Human Movement Sciences & Special Education Faculty Publications
According to the 24-Hour Movement Guidelines, meeting daily recommendations for physical activity, sleep, and screen time is important for obtaining optimal health benefits. This cross-sectional observational study aimed to examine (a) the prevalence of meeting the movement guidelines; and (b) the associations between meeting the guidelines and selected outcomes in adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Data from the 2018–2019 National Survey for Children’s Health dataset was used. Participants were adolescents (10–17 years) with ADHD and without other chronic conditions. Outcomes were flourishing, school engagement, and body weight status. Exposures of interest were adherence to the movement guidelines. The frequency of …
