The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship among variables which are integral to the \role of the bilingual-bicultural instructional aide and reflect the perceptions of teachers, instructional aides, and administrators working in bilingual classroom settings The study concerned itself with: (1) the role functions of the instructional aide, (2) the frequency of occurrence of these functions, and (3) the effectiveness of the instructional aide ·in performing these functions. A Comparative Study Of The Effects Of Two Approaches To Teaching Reading Comprehension On Achievement Of Fourth And Fifth Grade Students Of Middle And Low Socioeconomic Status, Alfred John Gordon

Problem: The problem was divided into two parts. The first part investigated the question whether students who were taught reading comprehension skills by the PIRAMID objective-based approach showed a greater gain than students who were taught the same skills by use of the basal reader approach. The second part was to ascertain the degree of concordance between results of the criterion-referenced test (CRT) and results of the norm-referenced test (NRT).

Problem. During the period 1962-1976, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago directed very specific attention to the development of education in general and secondary education in particular. Three major documents related to educational planning were prepared. A survey of the literature revealed that a detailed analysis of educational planning in Trinidad and Tobago had not yet been undertaken. The purpose of the study was to analyze the planning process in secondary education in Trinidad and Tobago during the period 1962-1976.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether it was possible to develop an effective consolidation plan which would result in greater equalization of financial resources, more equitable tax structures and an increase in the revenue available for school support among California school districts within the requirements established by the Serrano v. Priest case.
