Indonesian Teachers' Perceptions Of Online Learning Technology In Mathematics Classrooms During The Covid-19 Pandemic, Angga Hidayat

Teachers are an important key in implementing distance learning during the pandemic, it is necessary to explore teacher perceptions in the use of distance learning technology. Questionnaire data were collected from 363 mathematics teachers in Indonesia. Furthermore, 8 mathematics teachers were interviewed using zoom and in person. The results of this study are mathematics teachers consider that distance education technology to be easy and useful during the pandemic. In addition, math teachers intend to continue using educational technology after the pandemic ends. In academic settings, lectures are the primary source of information that students in higher education listen to. Some students might find difficulties in writing some admissible information from the lecture under restricted time. By carrying out note-taking, students are expected to recall information more easily for later use. In reducing the cognitive burden during listening to lectures, students, therefore, apply additional recording techniques so-called stenography of note-taking. The seven types of note-taking stenography posses at least six functions in selective listening among English Department students.

This research aims at demonstrating the effectiveness of note-taking technique to improve Vietnamese English specialized students’ ability to listen to authentic sources. Action research is employed for this paper, combining with different data collection methods including T-test, questionnaire, and teaching journals. This primarily explains some challenges students may face when they listen to authentic sources and how taking notes can help mitigate those obstacles.

Mother Tongue Based Multilingual Education (MTB MLE) is an educational program for helping ethnic minority children that rarely speak the national language. Firstly, in early grades, children will learn only in their native language, with other language(s) added in later years. This poster will go through the process of adapting and translating a western language assessment tool into Palestinian Arabic: The Preschool Language Scale-4 (PLS-4) 4. It will mention the reasons for adaptation and limitations encountered while implementing the tool on Arabic speaking children. Test and re-test gave reliable and valid results; this tool can safely be used to evaluate Arabic language.
