In recent years, individualization of instruction has been considered a major innovation in the field of education. Many schools have adopted, and others are in the process of adopting, such programs. Much has been written on the subject relative to the field of foreign languages. However, there seems to b a lack of specific information concerning the implementation and the effectiveness, as perceived by teachers, of such programs. Hopefully, such information will be useful for educators who may be considering individualization of foreign language learning.
