Editorial
The idea of a Special Issue of the International Journal of Psychophysiology focusing on research "down under" emerged in 2012 from discussions between the Society President (Robert Barry), the journal Publisher (Shamus O'Reilly), and the Editor-in-Chief (Connie Duncan). It was greeted with enthusiasm by the Society Executive, who set up an Editorial Committee to progress the project, beginning with establishment of timelines, evaluations of the conference abstracts accepted for presentation at the 2012 meeting of the Australasian Society for Psychophysiology, ASP2012, and critical scrutiny of each conference presentation.
