Communicate To Connect: Kate Bornstein, X González, And Judy Shepard Reflect On Self-Awareness Strategies And Presenting To Inspire Social Change, Sarah M. Kipp

People throughout the centuries have used public presentation to effect social change. This qualitative case study was designed to explore the various ways that self-awareness affects high-profile presenters committed to effecting social change. Through prespecified criterion sampling, three presenters—Kate Bornstein, X González, and Judy Shepard—were selected and agreed to participate in this study. The primary approach to data collection was in-depth, semi-structured interviews. A document review (print and media) was conducted as a second approach to data collection.
