Changing the old methods used during the Time Away period, students will have the opportunity to utilize, explore, and take new risks while they experience the innovative opportunities to help cope with their stress and anxiety. The stressors that occur in school or in their personal life affect their performances and quality of life in school. The goal of this project was to help a music educator better incorporate creativity into his or her music classroom. The project touches on music in relation to intelligence and creativity, as well as emphasis on how to generate a climate that is conducive to creativity. The lesson plan portion provides a template and examples using the Torrance Incubation Model. The lessons can be used for any age level. The lesson plans do not include the incorporation of creative thinking skills, and I encourage others to find ways to weave them into their lesson plans.

Thorough appendices include all course documents and handouts necessary to effectively implement this course.
