The article is devoted to the discussion of the problem of terms which have several meanings in denoting the same linguistic phenomenon. The author of the article attempts to allot each specific linguistic terms existent in the Uzbek language into a definite category. The author of the article also brings some synonyms of the Uzbek language to demonstrate how synonyms are defined in the science of Uzbek terminology.
