The purpose of this applied study was to solve the problem of teacher retention for the Archdiocese of Washington Schools and to design training to address the problem. Specifically, this study solicited input from teachers to help define and or identify (1) the need for teacher retention, (2) what type of school environment they work in, and (3) how a school environment affects teacher retention. The theory guiding the study was Dawis and Lofquist’s theory of work adjustment. The purpose of this multiple case study was to describe how employees in a large school district in the northeastern United States implement trauma-informed education practices. The insights illustrated how trauma-informed practices are utilized in the district. The theory guiding this study was Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, which explains the process of reaching self-actualization. The methodology used in this research was the embedded multiple case study. The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of using the flipped classroom model of instruction to increase English language learners’ phonemic awareness compared to English language learners who received instruction using the business-as-usual approach. This quantitative perspective used a causal-comparative approach to measure achievement in developing phonemic awareness for students at risk due to lack of exposure to English language phonemes. Burnout is a severe problem that has consequences beyond the primary person experiencing the phenomenon. This single embedded case study explores the influence of job satisfaction perceptions of employees in the roles of full-time support staff within the community college setting. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe teacher experiences in educating students with disabilities during a pandemic for K-5 teachers at John James K-8 school in the southeastern United States. The theory guiding this study was Bandura’s (1986) social cognitive learning theory, as it related to the importance of social learning on learners' cognition. Also, Universal Design for Learning was highlighted to suggest that all students should be taught in an inclusive setting.
