Statement of the Problem. The problem of this study was to determine if the frequency of home visits made to families enrolled in a home-based early childhood education program was related to changes in parental behavior and student achievement. Design of the Study. The procedural analysis for the study was the randomized three group pretest-posttest design. One hundred twenty low income families who had one or more children between three and five years of age, and who volunteered to participate in the home-based early childhood education program, were selected for the study. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to observe, analyze, and compare teacher verbal and non verbal behaviors as they were exhibited toward students in both traditional class rooms and open-space class rooms. Particular emphasis was placed on determining the degree, if any, to which teachers in open-space class rooms were more indirect and encouraging than direct and restricting in their behaviors than teachers in traditional class rooms. Problem: The problem was to determine whether experimental, supervised program of instruction was successful in changing a probationary student’s academic standing, as measured by grade point average and scores from the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale.

Purpose. The purpose of this study was to analyze four types of doctoral field experiences, namely mono-based, dyad-based, triad-based, and multi-based, to determine their feasibility and effectiveness in the preparation of educational administrators and supervisors. Taken in sequential order the four types of field experiences place one doctoral intern in a school system, pair two doctoral interns, pair two doctoral interns with a university professor or refer to three or more doctoral interns in educational administration or supervision assigned to a field station for the purpose of on-the-job training and interaction. Purpose. The problem of this study was to present the history of intercollegiate athletics at Milligan College from 1887-1973. Method. Both primary and secondary sources were used in gaining knowledge of the history of sports. Interviews were conducted with individuals who had been in the position of president or athletic director. All interviews were tape recorded. These interviews were transcribed for use in the study. A questionnaire was used to secure the opinions of professors, students, and former students. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of selected factors on high school seniors' attitudes toward two-year occupational programs as career educational plans.
