The Effectiveness Of An Instructional Program Based On Scamper Strategy In Improving English Speaking Skills Among Fifth-Grade Students In Jordan, Bayan Saleh Alomari, Dr. Hamzah Ali Alomari

Abstract:

This quasi-experimental study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of an instructional program based on SCAMPER strategy in improving speaking skills among fifth-grade students. The participants of the study were chosen from Al-Marwa elementary school in First Educational Directorate of Zarqa district, which was selected purposefully.Sixty-two participants were distributed randomly into an experimental group (n=32) and control group (n=30). The experimental group received the SCAMPER strategy for eight weeks during the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020, while the control group was taught using the conventional method.Pre-post speaking test was applied to both groups to collect the data.

This study aimed to investigate the level of job empowerment of public secondary female principals in Jordan and its relationship with some variables. Accordingly, the study sample consisted of (89) female principals and (261) female teachers working at public secondary schools in Jordan during the school year (2015/2016).

The results of the study showed that the current status of the job empowerment of public secondary female principals as perceived by female principals themselves and female teachers working with them was moderate.
