Social outcomes are the foundation of human relationships and many children with disabilities may display deficits in the necessary behaviors to form those connections. Previous literature shows that physical activity can be an effective intervention for children with disabilities to promote social outcomes through the three domains of learning – cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to collect, index, and evaluate the available literature exploring how a physical education program can impact social outcomes in children with disabilities.
