The committee was created to ensure UNO's general education program is student-centered, aligned with specific Student learning Outcomes, and assessable.

Internal program reviews are conducted by the Academic Planning Council (APC) and are an integral part of UNO’s assessment and planning processes for the unit, college, and University.
