The National Collegiate Honors Council’s “Shared Principles and Practices of Honors Education” (2022) outlines the level of commitment, pedagogical innovation and inclusivity, mentoring, and intellectual leadership that honors programs and colleges expect from their faculty. These high expectations require institutional support structures that compensate faculty fairly, foster ongoing professional development, and build a sense of belonging and community in honors. Emphasizing the importance of faculty who teach, mentor, and guide honors students on their educational journeys, the author draws on firsthand experience to offer specific ideas about how to engage and reward honors faculty. This study aimed at investigating the status of school health in the Governorate of Hebron and the way to develop them. The study population consisted of all teacher members of the health committees and their coordinators, in Governorate of Hebron. In academic year 2017/2018, (1482) committee members. The researcher used questionnaire to collect data. The questionnaire sample was randomly stratified, and consisted of (250) members. The researcher developed (40) items questionnaire that covers the aspects of the status of school health. Proficiency Appraisal: A Viable Alternative To Merit Pay, Kenneth T. Pietraniec

An original design of an incentive plan to reward and encourage instructional proficiency was developed. The evaluative criteria is based on findings of current research in effective instruction. Students, colleagues, administrators, and a trained outside observer appraise behaviors in the domains of classroom climate, time on task, management of student conduct, and teacher expectations. A proficiency grid rates and maps the collected data. Proficiency point totals determine monetary reward and identify professional development needs.
