The usefulness of any research is dependent upon how well the group studied represents the group about which decisions are to be made or conclusions drawn. That is, it depends upon how well the sample reflects relevant characteristics of the population. During the summer months of 1994 through 2000, the Dick Pope Sr. Institute for Tourism Studies at the University of Central Florida has conducted a survey of Central Florida hospitality industry properties regarding wage rates and employee benefits. This ongoing project has been sponsored by the Hotel Human Resource Association of Central Florida and has been supported by the Central Florida Hotel Motel Association. This comprehensive study solicits and reports data on wages and benefits from 353 hospitality organization covering 120 occupational/hourly job titles and 46 management/supervisory position. Since before the end of the Cold War, terrorism acts have had major effects on tourism destinations. As a result, the 'shadowy, mobile, and unpredictable' forces of terrorism are becoming an unfortunate part of the travel and tourism landscape. Few can forget the explosion that killed three in Paris in 1986, the home-made pipe bomb in Tel Aviv in 1990, the November 1997 massacre of 58 tourists at Luxor's Temple of Hatshepsut in Egypt, and the Kenyan and Tanzanian US Embassy truck bombings killing 263 in August 1998. Since start of the Asian Economy crisis in 1997, most industries in Malaysia have been experiencing a difficult time. Tourism industry had to face several challenges such as currency fluctuations, negative media reports, stringent government policies, reduced market demands and global competition. The negative effects on the industry were compounded by the national economic slowdown, i.e., GDP contraction of 6.7 per cent in 1998. Tourist arrivals were also descended to a low of 5.5 million, compared to 6.2 million in 1997 (MATTA Annual Report 1998). The primary objective of this research was to explore the criteria that came into ply when a tourist judges one area over another. It examined the relative importance of tourist attributes in contributing to the attractiveness of a travel destination. This research is a study of over 1,000 German tourists to Ireland, having purchased and experienced the tourism product. Extensive review of consumer behaviour literature on theorists such as Schiffman and Kanuk (19940, Engel et al (1995), Lewis (1984 and 1987), Mowen (1995) and Loudon and Della Bitta (1993) laid a basis for research into tourism literature. This publication is a chronology of the Bartenders Association of Ireland, An Cumann Tabhairnithe Eireann (BAI). The BAI evolved from the United Kingdom Bartenders Guild (UKBG) formed in 1934. The book deals with the many physiological, economic, social changes and technological developments in the beverage industry since 1948, it documents the introduction of cocktails and various beverages in Ireland during those years, provides an insight into social history and includes a pictorial record of the past half-century.

The following is a summary of the main findings of the above research: 1. Visitation to Spain For Americans, Spain is a relatively unvisited destination. Close to three fourths of American overseas travelers have never visited Spain . Of those who visited, three fourths visited Spain for vacation purposes . Two thirds of American visitors did not use tour packages . 2. Interest in visiting Spain (in the next three years) The interest in visiting Spain is high. Sixty two percent of sampled overseas travelers expressed an interest in visiting Spain in the next three years. Assuming a 4% national …
