Presidential Visits As Foreign Policy Instruments: U.S. Indo-Pacific Strategy In Trump’S Second Term, Atar Thaung Htet
Journal of Strategic and Global Studies
Through an analysis of President Donald Trump's October 2025 travel to Asia, this study investigates the consequences of U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy under his second-term diplomacy. The paper examines three significant diplomatic encounters—the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia, bilateral meetings in Japan, and the APEC Summit in South Korea—using a qualitative case study methodology based on role theory and foreign policy analysis. The results show that alliance-centered security cooperation, strategic balancing toward China, and selective economic engagement were U.S. Indo-Pacific goals. Through extremely transactional and bilateralized relations, presidential diplomacy allowed the United States to fulfill a number of foreign policy responsibilities, such …

Beyond Bureaucracy: Entrepreneurial Mindset And Ai Readiness As Drivers Of Business Model Innovation In Blu Business Units — A Conceptual Framework, Ahmad Nurholis, Muhammad Rifky Adzakie
International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR)
This paper advances a conceptual framework that examines how entrepreneurial mindset (EM) and AI readiness interact to shape business model innovation (BMI) and financial performance (FP) within Indonesia’s profit-oriented Public Service Agency (BLU) business units. As hybrid organizations, BLU business units must simultaneously fulfill their public service mandate while pursuing revenue generation, creating a unique context that demands stronger theoretical grounding. The framework draws on New Public Management (NPM) principles and the Dynamic Capabilities (DC) perspective to argue that an entrepreneurial mindset stimulates BMI both directly and indirectly through enhanced AI readiness. In turn, BMI is positioned as a driver …

Kegagalan Kepastian: Membingkai Ulang Manajemen Strategis Melalui Kompleksitas, Brian Hoffni
Kegagalan Kepastian: Membingkai Ulang Manajemen Strategis Melalui Kompleksitas, Brian Hoffni
Jurnal Manajemen dan Usahawan Indonesia
This paper explores the integration of complexity theory into the field of strategic management, arguing that traditional, positivist-based models—such as the planning school, positioning school, and resource-based view—are increasingly inadequate for addressing the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) of contemporary business environments. While classical theories emphasize linearity, stability, and top-down control, complexity theory reconceptualizes organizations as complex adaptive systems (CAS) characterized by emergence, nonlinearity, and continuous learning. Drawing on insights from both historical and contemporary strategic paradigms, this study proposes that complexity theory does not replace but rather extends classical frameworks by enabling more adaptive, iterative, and resilient approaches …

It is revealed that Indonesia’s Innovation in 2021 is ranked 87th out of 132 countries based on the Global World Index. It is a two-place drop from 2020 where Indonesia was previously ranked 85th. The sectors that appear to have the lowest innovation scores are the business progress sector, human development and research, scientific output, and creative output. This innovation rank indicates that business people in general, including in the precast concrete business sector in Indonesia, have not made good innovations in working on and maximizing their market potential and result in the weak competitiveness of domestic companies with foreign …

Analisis Dampak Kebijakan Insentif Fiskal Terhadap Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (Tkdn) Industri Manufaktur Di Indonesia, Muhammad Muhammad, Riyanto Riyanto
Jurnal Kebijakan Ekonomi
Over the last decade, the manufacturing sector's contribution to Indonesia's economy has declined. In 2010, it was 29.10% of GDP, but by 2022, it had dropped to 19.14%. Employment in the sector also fell, from 14.91% of the workforce in 2010 to 13.80% in 2022. To reverse this trend, the government introduced a policy to boost the Domestic Component Level (DCL) in manufacturing. By offering fiscal incentives to industries meeting certain DCL targets, the government aims to drive economic growth and job creation. A study using BPS data from 2008-2019 shows that this policy raised DCL by 23.5%.

Japan’S Military Transformation In Abe Era: A Revolution Or Something Else?, Ganesh Aji Wicaksono, Tangguh Chairil
Journal of Strategic and Global Studies
After the World War II, Japan has been adopting a pacifist Constitution and established the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) for narrow self-defense operations. The JSDF are restricted from having offensive military weapons. However, Japan’s pacifism and restrained security policy have been evolving recently, especially during the term of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (2012-2020). The latest example is Japan’s plan to enable forward defense and counterstrike. This paper explores the transformation of Japan’s military through the revolution of military affairs (RMA) concept. The findings suggest evolutionary transformation of Japan’s military rather than revolutionary. The factors explored include international and domestic factors. …
