(Sept. 1, 2024)—Dr. Alex Surbaugh, from Franklin, Tennessee, a clinical pharmacist in psychiatry, is serving as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
She previously came from the University of Kansas Health System, where she completed a PGY1 residency and a PGY2 psychiatric residency. Dr. Surbaugh completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Mississippi and earned her PharmD at UT.

The Latinx population in the United States has drastically increased over the last twenty years. During the same period, the number of first-generation Latinx students enrolling in higher education post-recession has also increased by as much as 1.5 million students. The expansion of the Latinx student population in Oregon has mirrored the national trend by exponentially increasing over the last 10 years. As the population of first-generation Latinx students grows, it becomes essential to explore the issues and barriers Latinx students face in making their college choices. Abstract - While marketing educators have identified the need for community engagement projects within the marketing curriculum, there is little research on implementing a community engagement project in marketing, especially in digital marketing. Therefore, this longitudinal case study aims to demonstrate how a community engagement project was implemented into digital and social media marketing classes at one university. This case study discusses (1) how the community engagement project was developed, (2) the work conducted, and (3) the results provided to the client. Test anxiety impacts traditional-aged undergraduate business students and influences their academic performance and overall well-being. This study explored the efficacy of massage therapy (MT) as a means of mitigating test anxiety within this demographic. Building on existing literature that addresses the consequences of anxiety and alternative coping mechanisms, this research study focused on MT as a potential strategy for test anxiety management. The study employed the Adult Manifest Anxiety Scale–College Version (AMAS-C) to gather data from participants at a private liberal arts institution in the East South-Central region of the United States. This article aims to understand the implications and remedies for the recent turmoil in business school enrollment and retention. By reviewing the academic business literature on enrollment decline and by incorporating a traditional marketing strategy framework, we categorized the existing studies to come up with a list for success. We found that business schools must revise their curriculum with sustainability and technological change in mind. They must invest in hedonic aspects of business education, consider adding creative internship opportunities and incorporate innovative online learning initiatives. (January 30, 2024) — East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy rocketed to among the top accredited pharmacy schools in the country with its latest licensure exam results. A pharmacy school graduate must pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) exam in order to be awarded a license to practice.

With the decline in the number of traditional college-aged students, understanding the degree selection process is important for departments, colleges, and universities alike. For students, selecting the proper major early is also beneficial since it reduces time in school and tuition costs. Therefore, a better understanding of the degree selection process is worthwhile. Survey data was collected from 1,177 undergraduates at a southeastern U.S. university. Survey questions included major selection influences and other attitude and demographic items. Over the last decade, business schools have added online MBA programs to meet student demand for access, price, and geographic convenience while trying to ensure a solid tuition revenue base. Online MBA programs have been forced to waive the GMAT and reduce the number of credits required for graduation while seeking ways to bring additional value to their online programs. This research examines whether offering online MBA students a specialized marketing concentration in digital marketing will make students marketable to businesses.
