Dr. Melton participated in a Zoom panel with Yale School of Medicine and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on caring for patients with substance use disorders.
This was part of ETSU's participation in the Phase 1 (Jan.July 2020) pilot for Addiction Treatment: Clinical Skills for Healthcare Professionals funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to support educating health professionals in evidence-based prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. SAMHSA awarded the grant for two years to the AAAP in collaboration with Yale University.

JOHNSON CITY (July 29, 2019) – East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy's chapter of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) continues to excel at the national level by earning Overall Chapter of the Year, competing with 100 other chapters across the country at the organization’s annual convention this weekend in Houston, Texas. In addition, they earned nine other national honors.
