Research Aims - Night-market is a popular type of micro-business in Southeast Asia. The purpose of this research is to examine night markets from the perspective of business development, a perspective that has received limited attention from the literature. Design/methodology/approach - A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed amongst nightmarket business owners in a selected venue around Penang. Research Aims: We examine the intellectual capital (IC) performance and its connection with firm value. We also investigate whether the adoption of an enhanced quality standard MFRS 139 that affect recognition and measurement of financial instrument's fair values, moderates the relationship between IC performance and firm value. Design/methodology/approach: We used panel data analysis of listed financial institutions' data for 2005 - 2015 period. Research Findings: A positive association between IC performance and firm value is found, proposing that IC is an important resource for firms. Research Aims: The process of innovation is complex and involved various stage which required employees to have an innovative behaviour. Underpinned by social exchange theory, this study examines how employee participation in Lean Thinking influence the employees' innovative behaviour. We also examine the possibility that competency moderates this relationship. Research Aims: The present study aimed to examine the relationship between transformational leadership, job satisfaction and employee commitment to organisational change. Design/Methodology/Approach: Extension of a three-component model was employed. The study sample consisted of 474 employees in organisations undergoing a significant organisational change in Vietnam. The data were analysed using a structural equation model (SEM). This study investigates how political brand relationship quality (satisfaction and trust) influences political brand engagement (PBE) and voters' citizenship behaviour (VCB). Research Aims: The present research investigates the relationships among behavioural belief, attitude toward entrepreneurship, religiosity, and entrepreneurial intention in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: We use a structural equation model supported by LISREL 8.80 to analyse a sample of 146 owners of micro and small enterprises. Research Findings: We found new results to add to the entrepreneurship literature regarding the relationship between religiosity and entrepreneurship. Research Aims: The current study proposes to fill in the gap in customer orientation literature by focusing on the relationship between customer orientation, employee rhetorical sensitivity and customer retention from the customer perspective. Design/methodology/approach: The questionnaires were distributed at the KLIA and KLIA2 among experienced customer of travel agency, where the respondents were selected using convenience sampling. Research Aims: Using two countries as the object, this study aims to analyze the influence of technology readiness towards favorableness on online transportation consumers in Indonesia and Thailand. Design/methodology/approach: Empirical evidence for the research was derived from a survey that collected data from 500 students in Indonesia and Thailand, analyzed using Logit Biner method with the help of software SPSS. Research Aims: To analyse the organisational commitment of pharmacists in Vietnamese enterprises, incorporating elements such as job satisfaction, leadership style and demographic variables. Design/Methodology/Approach: Based on a primary data sample, collected from 300 pharmacists in professional organisations (universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and drugstore chains), and a structural equation model (SEM). Research Findings: The results show that organisational commitment is significantly dependent on perceived job satisfaction, leadership styles and demographic variables by pharmacists. Research Aims: Incorporating theories about psychological contracts and job characteristics, this research explores the relationship between different types of training events (i.e. on-the-job versus off-the-job training) and the turnover intention of female employees. Growth Need Strength (GNS) is a personality factor that strengthens this relationship. Design/Methodology/Approach: Empirical evidence for the research was derived from a survey that collected data from 221 female corporate officers in Vietnam, followed by a hierarchical regression. Cash Holding Or Net Debt, What Is Relevant For Indonesian Firms?, Himanshu Joshi

Paper investigates the firm level determinants of cash holdings by Indonesian firms. It also examines net debt as substitute measure for cash holding in firm’s financial policies. Sample comprises of 483 Indonesian companies listed on Indonesia stock exchange. Study finds that firms with robust cash flows, and higher cost of capital hold more cash. Firms holding greater noncash liquid assets have moderate cash holdings. Cash holding is most relevant for financially constrained firms, and growth firms. Net debt appears to be most relevant element for low growth firms. No hedging firms are indifferent about their cash holdings and net debt.

Research Aims: This study investigates the impact of innovativeness on competitive advantage along with the role of human capital and entrepreneurship orientation as drivers for innovation. Design/Methodology/Approach: The sample consists of small and medium sized manufacturers in Malaysia. A total of 193 firms participated. Data were collected via mail and drop-off survey and analysed using multiple regression analysis. Research Aims: In line with international entrepreneurship theory, this study investigated the effects of entrepreneurial characteristics and government support on small and medium enterprise (SME) internationalisation and performance. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study focussed on Malaysia as a developing economy; data were gathered from 237 SMEs with international business operations to facilitate the examination of associative relationships among the variables. Research Aims - This paper focuses on the institutions that the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) project will affect. By employing institutional logics theory, this study scrutinizes academics and business practitioners as institutions and the cultural context embedded within them. Methodology - A mixed method of newspaper data analysis and semi-structured interviews was used to obtain comprehensive data from both sources. Research findings - The findings suggest a definite orientation gap between business practitioners, associations, and academics—the three groups have less information and contributions compared with the government and association influences. Research Aims - This paper aims at discussing the existence of knowledge inertia and its influence to the product innovation, with particular analysis given to the coffee production during the preharvest and post-harvest periods. Sustainable development has recently been identified as a challenge for many countries and has become a vital issue for food-related industries. This study of sustainable supply chain management practices and sustainability performance in the food industry was conducted at food companies in Iran. Data were gathered from 120 companies by means of a questionnaire; confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to test the questionnaire’s validity. Hypotheses were tested by path analysis. This research aims to investigate why there is low insurance purchasing in Indonesia. The research framework adopts the theory of planned behaviour in exploring the insurance purchase intention behaviour of Indonesians. Furthermore, this research introduces health value as the moderating variable on the relationship between attitude towards insurance purchasing and the intention to purchase insurance. We take 311 insurance holders from five Indonesian big cities as the sample. The results show that perceived risk and perceived usefulness play important roles in the attitude towards the intention to purchase health insurance.
