Extensive research has shown that diverse workplaces are more effective than homogenous workplaces; however, gay and lesbian employees still often face discrimination or exclusion in the workplace. In order to initiate discussion about inclusion and diversity in the workplace, the authors interviewed five gay employees (four women and one man). This article contains a brief introduction and conclusion, as well as excerpts from the interviews. The interviewees confirmed that they had experienced discrimination in the workplace themselves or had seen it happen with others.
