The model used in this study is the modified IS Success Model of DeLone and McLean. Limited research has studied workplace satisfaction in a computer-mediated context, particularly with the use of social media. Based on an analysis of an online survey of working adults (N=512) in various companies and organizations in a metropolitan area in Southern California, we tested the relationships among time spent on Facebook interacting with coworkers, employment status, and job satisfaction. Results show that an employee’s satisfaction at work is positively associated with the amount of time they spend on Facebook interacting with co-workers. Managers and other professionals operating in high velocity environments engage in frequent, simultaneous, iterative and interleaved acts of sensemaking and sensegiving within a network of stakeholders as they confront a stream of potentially significant signals or events. How is collective meaning and action shaped as a result of such interactions? To understand the dynamics of meaning-making in high velocity settings, we conducted a grounded theory analysis of concurrent sensemaking and sensegiving during 83 product innovation projects in the information technology sector as reported by 26 product managers. The Parrish Library Case Competition is an annual library-administered, library-sponsored case competition where teams of undergraduate students compete against one another to make better evidence-based decisions for business problems. This article includes a description the case competition as a resource for other libraries interested in sponsoring similar case competitions as part of their information literacy programs. Students who participated in the case competition saw their learning grow as assessed through questionnaires and focus groups. Students who had not taken an information literacy course perceived their understanding as lower than those who had taken a course.

Corporations are facing a more complex and challenging global business environment, and many have implemented a virtual workforce to maintain their competitive advantage through maximizing productivity, reducing product time to market, and cost reduction. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of virtual leadership, as seen through the eyes of study participants (Merriam, 2009). How do U.S. expatriate executives who live and work in countries with pervasive corruption make choices about the degree to which they participate in corruption? To answer this question, I interviewed 30 U.S. executives who worked in such countries. Some refused to participate in corrupt practices, others chose to reluctantly succumb to extortion, while others willingly participated in corruption. I illustrate costs the executives incur from making the decisions and reasons for why they make the decisions. I found that social norms played a significant role in their decisions. In this Training Course Linked Capstone I facilitated a six-week strategic planning workshop for the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group (DIAG) of AFS-USA, an intercultural youth exchange organization. We aim in this study to explore the interaction between three constructs: leadership style, organisational culture, and organisational learning capacity. In addition to that, we investigated the validity of this trio relationship in both public and private Egyptian universities situated in Greater Cairo area. A quota sampling procedure was used to recruit 298 academicians - 186 from public universities and 112 from private universities. Significant correlations were obtained between transformational and transactional leadership style and organisational learning capacity dimensions. One emerging field in which project management application benefits are being discovered is ministry and nonprofits, specifically Christian ministry. Over the course of the following decades, an abundance of flat tax proposals have emerged that pay homage to their seminal work.
