Demographic trends show an outmigration of young adults from areas outside metropolitan areas, leaving employers and colleges looking for ways to reduce or reverse the trends. This mixed methods explanatory sequential study seeks to explain how internships relate to college graduates’ post-graduation plans via a study population of approximately 630 college seniors in a nonmetropolitan regional college. The study will survey students via two waves followed by in-person interviews using an integrated model combining Job Embeddedness Theory and Job Characteristics Model in a novel application that may suggest new approaches for internship programs to retain young people in nonmetropolitan areas.

More than 100 years later, entrepreneurial actions continue to demonstrate Extension's commitment to recognizing opportunities, engaging stakeholders, and fostering innovation. The study investigates the relationship between risk-based audit quality, financial oversight efficiency and financial corruption reduction in banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange in the years 2008–2025 by applying International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) 2024. A composite risk-based audit quality index was created which included auditor independence, auditor professional qualification, frequency of audit committee meetings, and auditor presence of a formal risk committee. It employs a quantitative approach to measure the relationship between the variables under investigation using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. This study investigates the structural impact of oil revenue shocks on the Iraqi economy over the period 1990–2024 using a Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) model. The analysis focuses on the dynamic interactions among oil revenues, economic growth, inflation, and the exchange rate. The results of the Phillips–Perron unit root test indicate that all time-series variables are stationary at level, justifying the estimation of the model in levels. Objective: This study aims to uncover the long-term relationship and dynamics between local innovation, economic growth, and human capital quality in emerging markets and developing economies.
Methodology: The study employed Panel Distributed Lag Autoregressive (ARDL) and Nonlinear Autoregressive (NARDL) model frameworks for data analysis. The Human Capital Quality Index (HCQI) was developed over time (from 2015 to the present) for 52 countries, demonstrating a long-term and short-term asymmetric cointegration relationship between these data, exhibiting both symmetrical and asymmetrical patterns across different periods and within their respective sample intervals.

Service Robots With Low Anthropomorphism In Restaurants: Consumer Reactions And Implications, Ferhat Eren, Volkan Genc

Journal of Global Hospitality and Tourism

This study investigates consumer responses to low-anthropomorphic service robots in restaurant front of-house roles using the AIDUA (Artificially Intelligent Device Use Acceptance). Data from 1,268  participants were analysed using PLS-SEM. The results revealed that social impact and  anthropomorphism significantly influenced both performance and effort expectancy, while hedonic  motivation influenced only performance expectancy. Performance expectancy strongly influenced  emotions, which in turn significantly influenced both the willingness to use service robots and objections  to their use. However, effort expectancy did not significantly influence emotions. The findings validate the  AIDUA model in this context and offer practical insights for robot design and implementation.

Employing a seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average model with intervention analysis, monthly arrival data from January 2005 to December 2022 were analyzed to quantify pandemic-related disruptions. Forecasts from January 2023 to December 2025 suggest a full recovery by March 2023, marking a 36-month rebound period. Digital transformation is reshaping public-sector work and may alter how public servants evaluate their psychological contract with their employer. Street markets are key provisioning systems across the Global South, supplying fresh food, employment, and retail access absent formal infrastructure. Yet despite street markets’ functional indispensability to millions of low-income consumers, their legitimacy is chronically contested, affirmed by vendors and communities yet challenged by planners, developers, and state authorities who apply formal-economy criteria in evaluating them.
