Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the increased geopolitical tensions and trade wars and increased frequency of extreme weather conditions due to climate change revealed the importance of building resilience to mitigate the impact of such unforeseen challenges. Understanding supply chain resilience and building capabilities is essential for quickly responding to and recovering from disruptions. With the PRISMA approach, 335 articles were analyzed to illuminate the multifaceted nature of supply chain capabilities by synthesizing existing research on resilience, identifying key trends, and highlighting areas for future investigation.

Purpose: The purpose of this mixed methods study was to identify and describe how highly effective PT leaders use the three competencies of HPTs (clarity, connection, and communication) to increase engagement, prevent burnout, and achieve organizational objectives. The second purpose of this study was to determine the degree of importance that highly effective PT leaders perceive the three HPTE core competencies impact their leadership for creating HPTs.

The 2020 Guiding Principles and Standards of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation Standard 4.3 requires business students to be equipped with critical and analytical thinking skills. Killian (2013) states that by engaging students in a problem-based case study in an introductory-level managerial accounting course, students can acquire critical thinking skills, rather than memorize. Results from this study suggest critical thinking skills increased when it came to detecting, explaining, and defining a problem. In practical optimization problems, we typically model uncertainty as a random variable though its true probability distribution is unobservable to the decision maker. Historical data provides some information of this distribution that we can use to approximately quantify the risk of an evaluation function that depends on both our decision and the uncertainty. This paper investigates how product market competition affects the performance of closely held small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing economies. In contrast to prior findings that focus on large publicly traded companies in developed economies, we find that market competition has a negative effect on firm performance. Our findings are robust to different measures of competition and firm performance and survive after addressing endogeneity issues. We provide evidence that the adverse effect of competition is channeled through increased corruption. BACKGROUND: This study aimed to define an intra-articular surgeon-administered technique that may be comparable to ultrasound (US)-guided adductor canal block (ACB).

METHODS: Five cadaver lower limbs were examined. An anesthesiologist administered a US-guided ACB using 20 mL of dilute indocyanine dye. An orthopedic surgeon performed a medial parapatellar arthrotomy and introduced an 18-gauge needle 1-2 cm proximal to the palpated adductor tubercle angled posteromedially. Needle position and dye spread were fluoroscopically documented.

RESULTS: This technique consistently reached the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve, nerve to the vastus medialis muscle, and posterior capsule, with minimal proximal dye spread.

In the marketing education literature, the value of client projects is well documented. This study offers a new perspective on the transfer of training by examining whether skills, knowledge, and attitudes gained during training at work may transfer outside of work to improve employees’ family roles. The current research conceptualizes transfer of training to family as a specific instance of work-family enrichment and highlights the interconnectedness of individuals’ work and family roles via training transfer. Speed across various organizational processes, such as decision-making, executing operational activities, and responding to competitive challenges, represents an essential component of firms’ ability to achieve a competitive advantage. However, a theoretical and empirical consensus has yet to form whether decision speed (DS), implementation speed (IS), and response speed (RS) are beneficial or detrimental to firm performance. To help reconcile these inconclusive findings, we meta-analyze 127 studies (representing 239 effect sizes) and report overall direct effects for DS (0.21), IS (0.22), and RS (0.10) on firm performance. We argue that organizations have abdicated their moral obligation to older workers, thereby negatively impacting older workers’ wellbeing and their successful transition to retirement. We also note that organizational studies scholars have not paid adequate attention to that negligence, or its alternatives. Standardized longevity-linked securities such as survivor contracts allow pension plans to transfer this risk to capital markets. However, more consensus is needed on the appropriate mortality model and premium principle to price these contracts.
