The current state of many rural communities demands new, more relevant economic development strategies. Traditional models of rural economic development often rely on farming, natural resource extraction, and industrial type jobs that rely on lower cost labor usually focused on manufacturing of product or food. Farm jobs declined decades ago. Offshoring, and more recently automation is rapidly reducing the number of jobs available in rural areas. Jobs and economic vitality are critical to sustaining or growing communities. I intend to add to this research by examining the relationship between unions and wages, which plays into the bigger conversation about wealth and income inequality. To summarize, the questions are, is there a correlation between the decline in union membership and the stagnation of wages? If so, has it played a role in the rise in income and wealth inequality in the U.S.?

Research on merging lines is expanding as their use grows significantly in the contexts of remanufacturing, reverse logistics and developing economies. This article is the first to study the behavior of unpaced, reliable, and unreliable merging assembly lines that are deliberately unbalanced with respect to their coefficients of variation (CV). Conducting a series of simulation runs with varying line lengths, buffer storage capacities and unbalanced CV patterns delivers intriguing results. For both reliable and unreliable lines, the best pattern for generating higher throughput is found to be a balanced configuration (equal CVs along both parallel lines), except for unreliable lines …

This study investigates the influence of a conventional method of delivering news headlines, clickbait, on online users’ perceptions and responses. An experiment was conducted on two groups of news headlines—traditional news and clickbait—to provide empirical evidence of the effects of clickbait on online users. The findings suggest that clickbait headlines can evoke users’ arousal and curiosity. In addition, the results from structural equation modeling fill the gap in the literature by providing evidence of the factors influencing users’ intention to read and share online news. The 2021 HR@Moore Survey of CHROs examined a number of aspects of the CHRO role, ELT and Board climate, and CEO Generativity. Results showed that the COVID crisis may have resulted in CHROs spending more time as a Strategic Advisor. In addition, over time CHROs are spending less time with the board around executive compensation and more time on CEO and executive succession. In addition, many reported spending time with the board on DE&I issues. การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาฯ 2) เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการนำไปใช้ฯ และ 3) ศึกษาผลการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาก่อนและหลังจากการนำฮาร์ดแวร์สอนเขียนโปรแกรมแบบตัวต่อรูปแบบหุ่นยนต์สัตว์เลี้ยงมาใช้ในการจัดการเรียนรู้หลักการคิดเชิงคำนวณ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการพัฒนาฮาร์ดแวร์และการนำไปใช้ คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ด้านการประเมินการใช้งานของฮาร์ดแวร์ต้นแบบ และ ด้านการนำไปใช้ในการจัดการเรียนรู้ โดยมี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ นักเรียนระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาจํานวน 5 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้งในด้านฮาร์ดแวร์ฯ และ ในด้านการนำไปจัดการเรียนรู้สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบประเมิน Scoring Rubric ทั้งก่อนและหลังเรียน ทั้งนี้ได้ทําการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติเพื่อศึกษาผลการพัฒนาหลักการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบเปรียบเทียบ คะแนนแบบ Paired-samples T-Test ร่วมกับการอธิบายผล ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ฮาร์ดแวร์ฯ ที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีความเหมาะสมสำหรับการนำไปใช้ในการจัดการเรียนการสอนสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา ผลการทดลองนำฮาร์ดแวร์ฯไปใช้ พบว่า นักเรียนระดับชั้นประถมศึกษามีพัฒนาการด้านหลักการคิดเชิงคำนวณหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนทดลองอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) ด้วยเทคนิคเดลฟาย (Delphi technique) กับการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) โดยการวิจัยเอกสาร (Documentary Research) ด้วยข้อมูลปฐมภูมิ (Primary data) ที่มาจากการคัดเลือกผู้เชี่ยวชาญในการสัมภาษณ์ แสดงความคิดเห็น ผ่านแบบสอบถามของเทคนิค Delphi กำหนดประเด็นสำคัญของปัญหา เพื่อสร้างเครื่องมือและเก็บข้อมูล นำมาใช้สรุปผล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล เพื่อแสดงว่าผู้เชี่ยวชาญมีความคิดเห็นเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกันในการบูรณาการระบบ AIS และการผลักดันเชิงนโยบายของ MDA ผลการวิจัยพบว่าผู้เชี่ยวชาญมีความเข้าใจการตระหนักรู้ภาพสถานการณ์ทางทะเล โดยเชื่อว่าการให้อำนาจผู้นำประเทศ ในด้านนโยบายเกี่ยวกับผลประโยชน์ของชาติทางทะเล ส่งผลต่อความมั่นคงทางทะเลและยุทธศาสตร์ของประเทศที่ยั่งยืน โดยพบประเด็นปัญหาในเรื่องที่ MDA มีผลในเรื่องของแผนยุทธศาสตร์ ที่ใช้ในการรักษาผลประโยชน์ของชาติในทุกด้าน จึงจำเป็นที่ต้องกำหนดหน่วยงานที่เข้าได้ถึงชั้นข้อมูลเพื่อการรักษาชั้นความลับ โดยให้ศูนย์อำนวยการรักษาผลประโยชน์ของชาติทางทะเลเป็นผู้ดำเนินการ อาศัยข้อมูลจากระบบ AIS เพื่อการรักษาความปลอดภัยในทะเลและตรวจสอบเรือที่ละเมิดอธิปไตยและกระทำผิดกฎหมาย ในน่านน้ำไทย โดยต้องดำเนินการบังคับใช้กฎหมายให้มีประสิทธิภาพ ทั้งในด้านเศรษฐกิจและผลประโยชน์สูงสุดที่ยั่งยืน ที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับทะเลในทุกมิติ

งานวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาประเด็นปัญหาที่แท้จริงของการลักลอบเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญา (2) เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของการลักลอบเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญาทางทะเลต่อความมั่นคงแห่งชาติทางทะเล และ (3) เพื่อศึกษาหาแนวทาง และวิธีการที่เหมาะสมในการจัดการ แก้ไขปัญหาของการลักลอบเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญาที่ลักลอบเข้ามาในประเทศไทยอย่างยั่งยืน เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ซึ่งได้จากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องหรือเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติงานจากหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการดูแลปัญหาการลักลอบเข้าเมือง รวมทั้งทำการศึกษา ค้นคว้าแนวคิดและทฤษฎี รวมถึงเอกสารงานวิจัยต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อทำการออกแบบคำถามที่ใช้ในการสัมภาษณ์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การหลบหนีเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญาที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบโดยใช้เส้นทางทางทะเลมากขึ้น แต่ลดการแวะพักในประเทศไทยน้อยลง โดยมีต้นทางจากรัฐยะไข่ ประเทศพม่า ไปยังประเทศปลายทาง ได้แก่ ประเทศมาเลเซีย หรือประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ใช้ประเทศไทยเป็นทั้งทางผ่านและปลายทางเช่นเดียวกัน ซึ่งสาเหตุของการลักลอบเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญานั้นเปลี่ยนแปลงจากเหตุผลด้านเศรษฐกิจมาเป็นด้านของสิทธิ สถานะพลเมือง และการกดขี่ รวมถึงการใช้ความรุนแรง ซึ่งมีต้นเหตุมาจากประเทศต้นทาง โดยงานวิจัยในครั้งนี้สามารถสรุปถึงผลกระทบการลักลอบเข้าเมืองของชาวโรฮิงญาต่อความมั่นคงของชาติทางทะเลได้ว่า มีผลกระทบในเชิงลบระดับปานกลาง โดยมีผลกระทบต่อความปลอดภัยในการใช้ประโยชน์จากทะเล แต่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ ขบวนการค้ามนุษย์ การใช้เรือไม่ชักธง และการหลบหนีเข้าเมืองทางทะเลซึ่งเป็นผลสืบเนื่องต่อความมั่นคงทางบก

การเข้าถึงสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นเรื่องง่าย และกลายเป็นสิ่งจำเป็นในการดำรงชีวิต ด้านดีของสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ คือ สามารถใช้ติดต่อสื่อสารถึงกัน ส่วนผลในด้านลบคือ การที่สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ถูกใช้เป็นอีกช่องทางหนึ่งในการคุกคาม กลั่นแกล้งกัน การกลั่นแกล้งบนโซเชียลมีเดียมีหลากหลายรูปแบบ สามารถสรุปใจความได้ว่า คือการคุกคามหรือทำร้ายผู้อื่น โดยใช้เครื่องมือทางอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เช่น อีเมล์ ข้อความโต้ตอบแบบทันที ข้อความสั้น ห้องสนทนาออนไลน์ เพื่อให้ผู้อื่นได้รับความเสียหาย เกิดความหวาดกลัว และรู้สึกสิ้นหวังในชีวิต โดยผู้ที่ตกเป็นเหยื่อยากที่จะป้องกันตนเองและถูกกระทำซ้ำไปซ้ำมา งานวิจัยนี้จึงจัดทำขึ้นเพื่อนำระบบประมวลผลภาษาธรรมชาติ ซึ่งเป็นสาขาย่อยของภาษาศาสตร์ วิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์ และปัญญาประดิษฐ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคอมพิวเตอร์และภาษาของมนุษย์ ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นอีกหนึ่งกลไกสำคัญ ในการนำมาใช้ในการเลือกเนื้อหา ข้อความ การตอบโต้กันบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ เพื่อประมวลผลจากและได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เสนอวิธีการใหม่ในการตรวจจับข้อมูลการกลั่นแกล่งบนโซเชียลมีเดียในข้อความภาษาไทยโดยการนำข้อมูลที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมออนไลน์บน Twitter มาทำการประมวลผลผ่านกระบวนการและขั้นตอนในการวิเคราะห์ภาษาธรรมชาติ และสร้างตัวชี้วัดประสิทธิภาพและความแม่นยำของแบบจำลอง ด้วย Precision, Recall และ F-Measure พบว่า แบบจำลองมีค่าความแม่นยำในการทำนายผลลัพธ์อยู่ที่ร้อยละ 84.23

This study investigates how accounting quality relates to financial constraints at the firm level. In this study, our first hypothesis is that higher accounting quality reduces financial constraints at the firm level. Our second hypothesis is that higher accounting quality reduces financial constraints more after IFRS adoption in 2011 than before IFRS adoption in Thailand. Our third hypothesis is that higher accounting quality reduces financial constraints more in state-owned enterprises than in privately-owned enterprises.
