This paper focuses on establishing patterns as to the validity, under antitrust law, of “hot” clauses present in medium to long term marketing programs especially in the light of the recent decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in Eastman Kodak Co. v. Image Technical Services, Inc., 504 U.S. 451 (1992). Increasing job responsibilities of athletic directors (ADs) may lead to higher occupational stress (OS) levels, and as a result, increased health risks. Identification of work stressors may help individuals to better prepare for their job requirements and cope with OS.

This study was designed to determine the effects of individual demographics on stress and to identify the perceived OS levels of ADs, their major stress-causing tasks and stressors. Surveys were sent to college athletic directors in the Midwest (N=72); 76.4% of the surveys were received (n=55).

This study reports on how an activity-based cost accounting (ABC) system was implemented in a service firm in the timeshare exchange industry. In addition, the study highlights the similarities of implementing ABC in a service firm and a manufacturing firm. An important contribution of this field study is to illustrate the separation of labor activities into those that are productive versus those that are not. Further, the study shows the importance of separately allocating the non-productive activities, which are traceable to the primary service lines from those that are not traceable to them. A large number of studies have attempted to identify factors that are correlated with exporting success. However, much controversy exists about the key determinants of export performance and their relative importance. A major reason for this lack of consensus is the absence of a unified measure for capturing export performance. In this study, an attempt is made to develop a generalized export performance measure, the EXPERF scale, that can be applied to multiple countries. An Evaluation Of The Causes Of Urban Poverty In America: A Cross Section Analysis, Juan Loredo

Masters Culminating Experiences (1993-2011)

In this study, I analyze and evaluate the determinants of poverty rate differentials among 77 urban centers in the United States, as described by Isabel Sawhill (1988). The regression results show that demographic changes, education, welfare programs, unemployment rates, per capita income and income inequality are the most important factors that have a strong statistical link to urban poverty rates. Based on my analysis, the crime rate is not a statistically significant determinant of the rate of poverty among American families.

Management Faculty Research

The purpose of this study was to identify whether there were differences in the expectations of job responsibilities between different levels of recreation and sports managers towards the same post. The problem was divided into two sub-problems: (l) to determine the relationship in the perceived importance of entry-level managers' job responsibilities between entry-level managers and middle-level managers; and (2) to determine the relationship in the perceived importance of middle-level managers job responsibilities between middle-level managers and top-level managers. Several items were found to have significant difference in the perceptions among the subjects.
