An Inquiry Into The Role Of The Realization Concept In The Income Determination Process, Stephen E. Snyder
An Inquiry Into The Role Of The Realization Concept In The Income Determination Process, Stephen E. Snyder
Anderson School of Management Theses & Dissertations
It has become commonplace to refer to accounting as the language of business. This analogy is usually made to emphasize that accounting is, in part, a communication process. As a language, accounting attempts to communicate financial information about the business environment to interested parties. The receivers of accounting information can be classified into one of two broad groups: managers of business firms and parties outside of the firm. The problems involved in reporting to the two different groups are in many ways almost unrelated to each other.

The Effect Of Labor Unions On Real Wages And Prices, Dan Gaske
Honors Theses
In order to discuss the effect o unions, I feel we should first discuss the growth of unions; for at first they had very little power. Although there were unions of some sort or another existing in America since colonial days, it was late in the eighteenth century when they really began to have an influence. This influence began with the rise of the American Federation of Labor. "Led by Samuel Gompers and Adolph Strasser of the Cigarmaker's International Union, this group was composed primarily of representatives of the skilled trades.... These trades unionists felt that the mass movement of …

Criteria For Effective Appraisal Of Junior Executives, Albert I. Pierce
Anderson School of Management Theses & Dissertations
The emphasis and interest in effective and efficient management that exists in our present American culture has never before been equaled. The effects of the quality of management are felt by virtually everyone. Whether management is viewed from the standpoint of owner, employee, consumer or taxpayer, whether management is being observed in the private or public sectors of our economy, there can be little question that the quality of management has a strong impact and directive influence on our society.
Restaurants Of Arkadelphia, Sharon Windham
Restaurants Of Arkadelphia, Sharon Windham
Honors Theses
This assigned Special Studies project was to make a survey of the restaurants and eating establishments of Arkadelphia. This survey and report are to be compiled with other surveys and reports of various areas in a business directory of Arkadelphia.
The purpose of this business directory, it was my understanding, was not only to give its readers ready reference to these organizations but also to give the student making the survey a first hand knowledge of these organizations. This survey has well served its purpose of giving the student, in this case, me, a working knowledge of the restaurants or …
