Nonprofit organizations in the United States operate within a constrained regulatory and financial environment that limits their ability to invest in marketing, donor acquisition, and digital infrastructure. Federal funding regulations, particularly under 2 CFR Part 200, restrict the use of grant funds for advertising and public outreach, creating structural barriers to growth and long-term sustainability. This paper presents a scalable methodology for overcoming these constraints through the design and implementation of cost-efficient digital infrastructure systems.

Nonprofit organizations often overlook psychological belonging as a driver of volunteer retention and recruitment (Hurt, 2025; Mochin, 2022). The purpose of this qualitative Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) study was to explore how a sense of belonging influenced the intrinsic motivation of nine adults volunteering with a faith-based nonprofit organization in the southern United States. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using IPA best practices to identify themes from participants' experiences. Small nonprofits often struggle to coordinate multi-site distribution campaigns with limited staff, tight budgets, and little access to technology. This article describes how Eye on July Corp., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Omaha, Nebraska, built an AI-powered system to manage the distribution of 20,000 free safety glasses across 41 community locations for July 4th. The system was built without any coding using three commercially available tools, where Airtable stores the data, Make.com runs the automation, and Anthropic's Claude API provides the intelligence, all at a total cost of under $10. Nonprofit organizations face ongoing challenges related to uncertain funding, staff burnout, and increasing community needs. This article describes adaptive capacity as a proactive form of resilience that can help nonprofits prepare for unexpected challenges before they occur.  Drawing on examples from a small community-engaged nonprofit, the current article presented activities and tools for strengthening adaptive capacity through both longer-term capacity-building practices and everyday organizational decisions.  We used the McKinsey 7S framework to organize adaptive capacity opportunities across strategy, structure, systems, shared values, skills, style, and staff.  The examples suggest that, despite unanticipated challenges, community-engaged nonprofits may strengthen resilience by adopting …

Mobile banking, alternative credit scoring, and AI-assisted underwriting have expanded access to financial products, but access alone does not guarantee fair outcomes. This piece frames fintech accountability as a nonprofit data accessibility issue. Nonprofits working in financial inclusion cannot fully evaluate fintech referrals or partnerships when the data behind approval decisions, pricing patterns, denial reasons, and appeal pathways remain inaccessible. Who counts as a founder in nonprofit organizational emergence? Although founders are widely treated as central actors in nonprofit entrepreneurship, prior research rarely specifies how founder status is defined or attributed. This conceptual ambiguity is particularly problematic given that nonprofit creation is typically a multi-actor process involving fluid participation over time. Drawing on survey data from 56 individuals engaged in the early stages of nonprofit formation, this study examines how participants themselves demarcate founder status. The Batujaya site in Karawang Regency is a National-level Cultural Heritage Area that houses the oldest Buddhist temple complex on Java Island. However, its potential as an educational tourism destination has not yet been optimally developed. This article examines the educational value of Batujaya through experiential learning, historical thinking, and episodic memory approaches. It demonstrates that direct learning at historical sites delivers a stronger cognitive and affective impact compared to textual learning in the classroom. This study examines the determinants of budget absorption within Indonesian provincial governments by assessing the impact of digital government maturity and regional fiscal capacity. Digital maturity is operationalized using the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) index, while fiscal capacity is proxied by the Natural Logarithm of Local Genuine Revenue (Ln_PAD). Adopting a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design encompassing 38 provinces in 2024, the data were evaluated through multiple linear regression analysis. The empirical findings demonstrate that neither digital maturity (p-value = 0.966) nor fiscal capacity (p-value = 0.774) exhibits a statistically significant relationship with budget absorption, both partially and simultaneously …

This study examines whether mandatory and voluntary corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure have different associations with firm value among companies included in Indonesia's LQ45 index during 2021–2024. Using a balanced panel of 25 consistently listed and reporting firms (100 firm-year observations), the study constructs two non-overlapping, binary content-analysis indices: a mandatory disclosure index based on POJK 51/POJK.03/2017 and SEOJK 16/SEOJK.04/2021, and a voluntary disclosure index based on additional GRI Standards 2021 items. Collegiate athletic departments face increasing financial pressures, making it vital to identify revenue generation strategies that align with fan preferences for sustainable growth. This study explores how various methods, including corporate logos on uniforms, increasing game-day costs, and accepting loans from private investors, are ranked by consumers in terms of their acceptability and potential impact on fan experience. Guided by prospect theory, we hypothesize fans prefer strategies seen as gains rather than losses and fan identification influences these preferences. Athletic administrators hold positions of influence within intercollegiate sport, yet their experiences, especially in relation to sexual identity, remain underexamined. The purpose of this study was to explore the occupational experiences and environments of LGBQ+ intercollegiate athletic administrators using a narrative inquiry qualitative design. Sixteen administrators, who occupied various positions across all NCAA levels, were interviewed. Guided by Sexual Stigma and Prejudice Theory and Poststructuralism Theory, collected data were analyzed at the semantic and latent levels using reflexive thematic analysis. The rapid expansion of Pakistan’s platform economy has introduced digitally mediated labor arrangements that fundamentally restructure occupational identities and the meanings workers attach to their work. Based on constructivist grounded theory, this study delves into the process of gig workers' self-negotiated and self-built occupational identities in the gig economy in the city of Karachi in Pakistan. Through in-depth interviews with 43 platform workers in Karachi (25 ride-sharing drivers and 18 food delivery riders), the analysis produced the Adaptive Identity Construction Framework, theorizing identity construction as a simultaneous process across temporal, algorithmic, and sociocultural dimensions.
