Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice
As cyberthreats to critical infrastructure remain prevalent, national response mechanisms must evolve beyond the technical domain to incorporate legal, communicative, strategic, and cross-sector coordination. This work explores Locked Shields, an annual exercise conducted by NATO's Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, as a pedagogical and conceptual framework for simulating whole-of-government responses to cyber incidents. Unlike traditional cyber exercises, Locked Shields engages legal advisors, media strategists, and civil-military roles in realistic, scenario-driven simulations that portray the political and operational conditions of a real international-scale cyber crisis. Prisoner-on-prisoner sexual abuse is widespread in US male prisons, with inmates “turning each other out” by sexually assaulting each other. While the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) received unanimous support in Congress in 2003, motivated by the Human Rights Watch Report “No Escape: Male Rape in Prisons,” scholars argue that the PREA fails to protect prisoners from prison rape: for example, its standards may be ineffective or criminalize consensual sex between prisoners. This essay will examine the shortcomings of the PREA, drawing on current legal scholarship, and propose solutions to enhance the law's effectiveness in protecting prisoners. The US government …

Menumbuhkan Kepercayaan Untuk Loyalitas Merek Yang Berkelanjutan: Peran Kualitas, Nilai, Kepuasan, Dan Diferensiasi Dalam Layanan Terapi Anak, Riefka Anggraini Riefani
Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis Terapan
Parental loyalty toward child therapy services is a critical factor in ensuring the sustainability of child development therapy centers. This study aims to analyze the effects of perceived quality, perceived value, perceived satisfaction, and perceived differentiation on brand trust and brand loyalty within the context of a child development therapy center. The study adopts a quantitative explanatory approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). A total of 784 respondents who had utilized pediatric therapy services participated in this study. The results indicate that brand trust is the strongest predictor of brand loyalty (β = 0.386; p < 0.001). Perceived differentiation exerts the strongest influence on brand trust (β = 0.399; p < 0.001). Perceived quality significantly affects brand trust but does not have a direct effect on brand loyalty. Meanwhile, perceived satisfaction and perceived value significantly influence both brand trust and brand loyalty. These findings underscore that parental loyalty is shaped by a combination of trust, service differentiation, satisfaction, and perceived value. This study provides important managerial implications for the development of effective strategies in pediatric therapy services.

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) in the context of cryptocurrency investment intentions. UTAUT is a modern technology acceptance theory, developed from earlier models of technology adoption, and is commonly used to explore user acceptance of new technologies. The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of collaborative social resources on project sustainability in Pakistan's IT Projects, with particular emphasis on the mediating effect of stakeholder engagement and the moderating role of project governance. A quantitative research strategy applied using a standardized questionnaire administered via Google Forms. In casino games using a standard deck of cards, a wash shuffle is sometimes performed prior to the rest of the card shuffling procedure. Unlike other methods of shuffling, the wash shuffle has not yet been well studied. To this end, we first develop a mechanistic model of the wash shuffle based on our observation of how cards tend to move when a wash shuffle is being performed. Generational cohort theory has been popular in the social sciences for decades, yet it remains a niche topic in the consumer behavior literature. Prior studies have found relationships between generational cohorts and various product categories. In this study, the relationship between generational cohorts and consumer decision-making constructs is assessed. A nationally representative survey was conducted. MANOVA and ANOVA analyses revealed relationships between generational cohorts and promotion focus, information acquisition, quality consciousness, compulsive buying, and consumer debt characteristics. As digital financial services grow, users face rising risks of financial loss through mobile platforms, often due to limited awareness of protective behaviours. This study surveyed 1,159 mobile financial service (MFS) users in Kenya to examine attitudes, concerns, security adoption, and actual practices. A behavioural model was developed by integrating information security and privacy literature with the Theory of Planned Behaviour, and tested using structural equation modeling via smart-PLS. Findings reveal that prior financial loss significantly heightens security and privacy concerns, influencing attitudes toward mobile protection and intentions to adopt secure practices. This study investigates the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on financial performance of banks on the Ghana Stock Exchange from 2019-2023. The research used a descriptive approach and the panel data regression analysis to examine how social, environmental, and economic dimensions of CSR influence Return on Assets (ROA), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Return on Equity (ROE). This study constructs an index reflecting Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) news coverage and evaluates its impact on bank stability. The CBDC Attention Index (CBDCAI) is formulated based on more than 533 Reuters Digital News Report articles from 2019 to 2023. Employing the System Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) approach with data from 92 banks across ASEAN-5 nations, and implementing quantile regression for robustness checks, the findings demonstrate a significant relationship between the CBDCAI and bank stability, alongside variables such as bank size and capitalization. This study explores the relationship between green banking disclosure, firm performance, and firm value, with firm size and age as moderating variables. The study analyzed 578 observations from 43 banking companies in Indonesia. The findings reveal that green banking disclosure significantly negatively impacts firm performance and value, suggesting that green banking efforts may not always yield positive shortterm financial outcomes. However, firm size and age were found to moderate these relationships. Based on these findings, the study highlights the importance of carefully designed green banking strategies and a deeper understanding of their financial impacts by banking management. Centralized ICT procurement is promoted as a means to improve efficiency and accountability, yet it often generates rigidity and frustration in developing-country contexts. This study investigates this paradox using South Africa’s State Information Technology Agency as an example affected by the broader challenges of digital governance in the Global South. Using an interpretivist, abductive approach, 55 semi-structured interviews with Government Information Technology Officers were analyzed thematically. Four patterns emerged: bureaucratic inefficiency, misalignment with departmental needs, workaround behavior and declining institutional legitimacy. Patents In Paradise: The Evolution Of Patent Law In The Cayman Islands, Andrew W. Torrance, Andrew P. Morriss, Lisa C. Friedman

This study examines the Cayman Islands’ unique position in the global intellectual property (IP) landscape, contrasting its success as an exporter of financial and legal services with the inherently domestic nature of patent protection. We hypothesize that due to this limitation, the Cayman Islands functions as a strategic, cost-effective jurisdiction for augmenting patent protection initially obtained elsewhere. Our research provides the first comprehensive analysis of Caymanian patents, and through a quantitative examination of patent family data—including filing trends, economic valuation, geographic distribution, and assignee profiles—we find strong empirical evidence to support this thesis.
