This research analyses the influence of both individual and leadership characteristics on research productivity. mediated by institutional characteristics. of the lecturers in the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Languages and Arts at the University of X in Jakarta. We distributed a questionnaire with closed questions to 100 lecturers who are not department heads and hold master’s degrees or higher. We then performed a quantitative analysis of mediation using SPSS software. The study investigates the dynamism of working capital requirement (WCR) in non-financial firms listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange from the period of 2007 to 2013. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether firms follow the target WCR, to estimate the speed with which firms adjust towards its target WCR and to investigate the firm specific and macroeconomic determinants of WCR. This study investigates the high-low intraday Performance of Initial Public Offering (IPO) during Global Financial Crisis (GFC) from January 2006 to December 2011. Models comprise of hierarchical and dummy variable regressions are evaluated. Our results show: Firstly, it can be observed that intraday IPOs performance are generally lower due to the GFC; Secondly, investors receive 7 to 30 percent IPO intraday returns on average in the first trading day of pre-GFC, -5 to 11 percent during GFC, and -4 to 14 percent in the post-GFC; and thirdly, the GFC does not act as a moderator that worsens the relationship between …

We examine the intraday trading and price change for frequently traded stocks in Indonesian Stock Exchange. Using bid and ask price, trade price, number of trade, trade volume, we estimate trading friction and spread decomposition. The objective of the estimation is to infer what is the biggest component of trading friction. This research aims at studying an elderly employment model for the Thai automotive industry. Mixed methods with a sequential exploratory strategy were utilized. Grounded theory was employed by using in-depth interviews to investigate the characteristics of elderly employment in the Thai automotive industry. To this end, the first stage of this study examines whether the recent solution for banking murabaha, namely Islamic Interbank Benchmark Rate (IIBR), is a sustainable solution to solve the problem. The aim of this paper is to examine the validity of the four-factor asset pricing as a comparison the standard Fama-French three factor model using U.S. monthly stock return data from period January 1963 to December 2010. Monthly stock return are constructed into 25 portfolio while the four-factor model includes the market factor (beta), the size factor (SMB), the book-to-market factor (HML), and the ‘momentum’ factor (MOM) which represents winners minus losers in terms of returns. This paper examines empirically the impact of financial flexibility on investment activities. Furthermore, we also investigate how financial flexibility determines the sensitivity of investment activities to cash flow. Using annual data of Indonesian manufacturing firms spanning five years, our analyses reveal that financial flexibility enhances investment ability and decreases sensitivity of investment activities to cash flow. Further analysis indicates that financially flexible firms in Indonesia tend to hold higher cash as a buffer to achieve financial flexibility. This article analyzes the relationship between Indonesian banking competition, concentration, and systemic risk, using the characteristics of individual banks and state variables as control variables. This article uses the Panzar–Rosse Model and Concentration Ratio to measure banking competition and concentration, while measuring systemic risk by applying CoVaR. The empirical result shows that concentration and competition increase systemic risk. This means increasing competition leads banks to take higher risks, and also shows that banks with high market power tend to charge higher interest rates, thus increasing systemic risk. Sodium-montmorillonite (Na+-MMT) was intercalation modified with octadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (OTAB) in aqueous suspension via an ion exchange mechanism. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) study indicates that OTAB is successfully intercalated into Na+-MMT layers and/or adsorbed on the surface of Na+-MMT. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the interlayer spacing of the Na+-MMT was extended with the content of OTAB increasing, and the maximum spacing can reach about 3.80 nm. Results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis reveals the morphologies change from spherical-like particles to high-aspect ratio flakes after modification. This study aims to delineate the key socio-emotional needs important for voice behavior. To do this, we examine individual and contextual factors as mechanisms underlying how psychological ownership and perceived support influence employee voice behavior. Employing survey research of 210 employees from two big companies in Indonesia, analyses revealed that perceived supervisor support had direct and indirect effects on voice behavior, and job-based psychological ownership is a crucial mediator of the relationship between organization-based psychological ownership and perceived supervisor support on voice behavior. By thematically analyzing the musings of the students, the research found physical appeal concepts that are associated to leadership. This study aims to analyze the effects of social capital—namely structural, relational, and cognitive dimensions—on crowdfunding performance using Kitabisa.com as a case study for 2013-2015. Using robust ordinary least squares methods, we find two important results. Structural dimension, which is measured by Facebook friends owned by an entrepreneur, affects crowdfunding success. The cognitive dimension, which is measured by the number of words that are written by entrepreneurs in the platform, also affects crowdfunding opportunities in order to wage a successful campaign. With a robust recent history of reform and opening, joining of the World Trade Organization, and negotiating a myriad of regional and global trade agreements, Vietnam has emerged as a promising destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A). In this paper, we provide an overview of Vietnam’s inbound mergers and acquisitions and review the two main driving forces of inbound M&A, which are the legal framework reform process and the equitization of State-owned enterprises. We close by providing directions for future research in the area of cross-border M&As.

The Relationship Between Malaysia’S Residential Property Price Index And Residential Properties Loan Supply, Chee-Hong Law, Ghee-Thean Lim

The Indonesian Capital Market Review

This paper examines the linkages between residential property prices and residential property loans in Malaysia from 1999 to 2015. Even though residential properties are a basic necessity, there are few studies that estimate the long-run and short-run relationships between loans and price levels in residential properties in Malaysia. The estimations are divided into two parts: the detection of long-run relationships and the estimation the long-run and short-run elasticities from an ARDL model. The results support the hypothesis that the loan supply has a positive impact on residential price levels; the robustness test and Granger causality test also support this conclusion. …
