This thesis will focus on the settlement process in the securities industry and the different methods and frequencies by which securities firms disburse payments to their customers.

Many brokerage firms have realized the value of technological advancements in cash management services and have invested large dollars in their systems capabilities to remain competitive . Other firms do not have the resources to invest in such systems. To stay competitive, many firms are now looking at customer service, focusing on customer payments as a marketing tool.

Eldercare Benefits : A Comparison Of Employee And Employer Attitudes, Michelle R. Hilton

Electronic Theses and Dissertations

The purpose of the study was to compare employee and employer attitudes regarding the helpfulness of eldercare benefits and the degree to which employers should take responsibility for helping employees with eldercare responsibilities. Subjects included 256 employees and 102 employers from Eastern South Dakota. Results revealed a significant difference between employee and employer attitudes regarding the eldercare benefits considered most beneficial. Employees reported a greater degree of helpfulness in benefits than employers. The results also demonstrated a significant difference between employers and employees on the degree to which employers should take responsibility for employee's eldercare commitments.

An Eclectic Approach To Turning Points In Migration, Eng Fong Pang

The eclectic approach to migration transition presented in this article emphasizes that a country's net migration position evolves as it develops, but in ways that reflect its initial economic and sociocultural conditions and subsequent policies and economic progress. Not one but several turning points exist, influenced by economic factors such as level of development, wage differentials, and trade and investment ties, as well as social and institutional factors such as a nation's homogeneity and its migration policies. To exemplify, the migration experiences of various Asia-Pacific countries are compared.

Self-Rated Performance And Pay Satisfaction, Merit Increase Satisfaction, And Instrumentality Beliefs In A Merit Pay Environment, M J. Vest, Dow Scott, S E. Markham

The relationship of self-rated performance to pay level satisfaction, merit increase satisfaction, and instrumentality beliefs in a merit pay environment is investigated. Self-rated performance exhibited a significant negative relationship with all three variables beyond that accounted for by control variables. Implications and suggestions for future research are discussed.
