JOHNSON CITY (Nov. 20, 2020)  – Courtney Vance Burgin, a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) student at East Tennessee State University’s College of Nursing, is one of only 16 people in the country selected for the National Rural Health Association’s 2021 Rural Health Fellows program.

Erb was appointed pharmacy director and began her new role on Sept. 1. Under the guidance of the executive director of the Community Health Centers, Erb is responsible for the pharmacy operations at the ETSU Charitable Pharmacy. Self-Efficacy Belief And The Influential Coach: An Examination Of Collegiate Athletes, Erianne A. Weight, Megan Lewis, Molly Harry

Self-efficacy beliefs related to the performance of a task have been identified as strong predictors of performance success. Research has hypothesized that the most influential contextual factor in athlete self-efficacy development is the athlete-coach relationship, yet there is little research on this relationship. The purpose of this study was to examine collegiate athletes’ perceptions of the prevalence of transformative and destructive coaches, the teaching methods athletes perceive to be transformative (strengthening self-efficacy belief), and the influence of coaching methods on sport self-efficacy belief. Intercollegiate athletics have become an integral part of campus life (Denhart, Villwock, & Vedder, 2010; Mixon & Trevino, 2005; Shulman & Bowen, 2001), and have grown exponentially in the resources universities put forth to participate in this extracurricular activity (Clotfelter, 2011). JOHNSON CITY (Nov. 16, 2020)  – Several student organizations at East Tennessee State University are sponsoring a collection drive for personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene products now through Friday, Nov. 20.

Students are collecting hand sanitizer, masks, face shield, gloves, and other PPE/hygiene products in donation bins on campus. The bins are located on the first floor of Sherrod Library and the D.P. This study analyzes flipped mode of instruction in Corporate Finance. In the current environment, with many students in quarantine and greater emphasis on self-study, it is even more relevant to understand how students understand and retain concepts derived from online environment. In this study, performance of students in flipped mode is compared with the performance in traditional lecture-style. In flipped class, students watched a brief video-lecture, took an online assessment quiz prior to attending an interactive discussion-based class session, unlike the traditional lecture style.
