Manger A Travers Les Cultures: A Comparative Look At Food Waste, Awareness And Redistribution Potential, Chloe Bergeron

In the most recent nation-wide studies, France’s estimated annual food waste, as of 2017, is 1.8% (Barilla Center, 2017). Conversely, the United States’ estimated annual food waste, as of 2010, is between 30-40% (USDA, 2010). This research compared University of Paris students’ and St. John’s University students’ awareness and knowledge of food waste on an individual, university, and governmental level to gain an in-depth understanding of the impacts of reduction practices and awareness methods such as campaigns and education. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 25, 2022) – With an eye toward expanding global opportunities for students and building French into a concentration within the foreign language major, East Tennessee State University’s Department of Literature and Language is adding two full-time instructors this fall.

JOHNSON CITY (April 22, 2022) – Undergraduate and graduate students attending East Tennessee State University this fall will not see an increase in tuition.
During its quarterly meeting today, the ETSU Board of Trustees voted not to increase tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year. This decision applies to all in-state and out-of-state undergraduate students and graduate students, with the exception of those attending Gatton College of Pharmacy and Quillen College of Medicine. The Board also approved the 2022-23 operating budget, which goes into effect July 1.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 19, 2022) – This summer, paleontologists at the Gray Fossil Site and Museum are going to be busy with the tasks of excavating and preserving fossils, and they’re looking for volunteers to help out.

This study was conducted to determine the role of digital literacy on e-learning capabilities at UIN Sunan Ampel of Surabaya as a function of sharing information. With digital literacy, users will have extraordinary abilities to think, learn, communicate, work together, and create. Digital literacy that is important for users to have includes information literacy, media literacy, and Information and Communication Technology literacy. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 7, 2022) – As audience members make their first “flight” to Mars, Dr. Gary Henson often makes note of the audible gasps that fill the room.
“It makes the investment in the full-dome technology well worth it,” he said.
An associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Henson is the director of the East Tennessee State University Planetarium, a spacious theatre capable of stunning visual graphics thanks to a state-of the-art, full-dome digital projection system.
