Unrestricted Factor Analysis: A Powerful Alternative To Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Jan-Benedict E.M. Steenkamp, Alberto Maydeu-Olivares

The gold standard for modeling multiple indicator measurement data is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), which has many statistical advantages over traditional exploratory factor analysis (EFA). In most CFA applications, items are assumed to be pure indicators of the construct they intend to measure. However, despite our best efforts, this is often not the case. Cross-loadings incorrectly set to zero can only be expressed through the correlations between the factors, leading to biased factor correlations and to biased structural (regression) parameter estimates. This article introduces a third approach, which has emerged in the psychometric literature, viz., unrestricted factor analysis (UFA). UFA …

The Cal Poly Transfer Center was established in 2020 in the midst of an ongoing pandemic; naturally, this led to the challenge of building recognition and engaging Transfer students with the center. As the first and only graphic designer, I saw an opportunity in creating the visual foundation for this organization, one that could be well understood and built upon by future designers. This is important as the Transfer Center is quite unique in its specific demographic of transfer students; they fall under an older age group and I want to create said foundation that reflects this; mature, professional, modern. …

Ramble solves problems that accompany traditional journaling by making the journaling process more accessible and requiring less time from the user.

The Impact Of Economic Growth And Inflation On Youth Unemployment: Empirical Study In Escwa Region, Mohamed Khodor El Daw
BAU Journal - Creative Sustainable Development
High unemployment particularly among youth is a serious burden for economy. There are many causes behind the high unemployment in the Escwa region, which differ from one country to another. Governments policies aim to solve this problem by creating new jobs symmetric with the sustainability of economic growth. These policies usually aim to increase growth rates and not to reduce unemployment. Inflation is another factor that has influence on unemployment rate, therefore economic growth and inflation are two factors that have impact on unemployment.
