Shakespeare's Hamlet contains frequent cultural ties and insights into Danish tradition that depict intentional effort to represent Danish culture. These accuracies can be seen in the description of the castle in Elsinore, the deep-seated conflicts between Christian forgiveness and revenge, and the traditional cannon salutes featured in Hamlet. Shakespeare created these connections to Danish culture for a political maneuver to win the favor of King James and his wife, the Royal Queen Anne of Denmark.

Brief: The purpose of our project was to create a graphic novel comprised of the short stories of Russian author Anton Chekhov.

Great literature often inspires interpretation, but interpretation often fails to shed meaningful light upon an original work. Our goal in embarking upon the task of illustrating twelve of Anton Chekhov’s short stories was to not only recontextualize Chekhov’s literary world, but to build upon the artistic nuances planted within his prose.

The "History of the Danish Mission, 1850-1964," gives a detailed account of the Mormon "beginnings" in Denmark and attempts to trace the development of a system of proselyting and its effect upon the lives of both missionaries and converts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. No attempt has been made in this study to record chronological detail to any extensive degree. Rather, emphasis has been placed on "beginnings" and major historical developments.
