Beyond Da Vinci: The True Bride Of Christ, John Ingram
Beyond Da Vinci: The True Bride Of Christ, John Ingram
Alumni Book Gallery
The History of mankind is very cyclical. How often has it been said, "history repeats itself". Since time immemorial a repetitive theme in the human drama is Gnosticism, a teaching that special hidden knowledge leads to spiritual enlightenment. Gnostic myths have also focused on the sexual union of gods or goddesses with humans. The recent furor over the fictional novel and movie, The Da Vinci Code, has once again challenged the authenticity of the Christian Gospel, and brought new focus on Gnostic myths. Readers and movie-goers are encouraged to accept the dubious writings of "lost gospels" and reject the …

What Are You Thinking?: The Stuff Of Wisdom In A Postmodern World, John Ingram

Driven Under The Influence: Selected Essays In Theology, 1974-2004, Frans Jozef Van Beeck
Sacred Heart University Press Books
The Dutch-born Father Frans Jozef van Beeck has been a Jesuit for nearly 60 years. A respected theologian and teacher, he has written several books on ecclesiology and on the Catholic Church’s relationship with Judaism. Father van Beeck’s multi-volume project, God Encountered: A Contemporary Catholic Systematic Theology, is still a work in progress. Driven Under the Influence is a provocative sampling of his unpublished ideas over a 30-year period. The essays chosen here suggest the breadth and depth of his scholarly interests. They range from fundamental issues such as Christology and Trinitarian theology to encounters with non-Christians, especially Jews, …
